Along with the return of Titan, some rather fun new missions, and the introduction of fishing, Season of The Deep has also brought Reckoning weapons back to the game. This arsenal was previously only available through Gambit Prime. However, now, if you know how, you can get your hands on Reckoning weapons in Destiny 2 once more. The guns are back with all new perks, traits, and their same gnarly appearance.
There are two ways to get your hands on these new guns (and sword) in Destiny 2. They will take time, but you may be pleased to hear they’re both very peaceful. You won’t be mowing down hoards of enemies to acquire your new tools of destruction; in fact, it’s quite the opposite.
Fishing. Just good old Sunday afternoon, fishing. Grab yourself a cooler full of your favorite beverage, have your partner pack you a few sandwiches, and head on down to your local fishing pond.
Once you have completed the intro quests for Season of The Deep, you will have access to a fishing rod and some bait. So far, there are three fishing ponds for you to choose from. The first is in the EDZ on the Outskirts, the second in Nezzus in The Cistern, and the final one on the Throne World in Miasma. You can spot them all on the map with a little hook symbol.
By catching legendary fish and turning them in at the Aquarium in the H.E.L.M. you will be rewarded with, among other items, Reckoning weapons in Destiny 2.
It is also possible to use the Sonar Station in the H.E.L.M. and encode Reckoning Engrams. These are awarded for completing season challenges. They can be used to get Reckoning Weapons in Destiny 2. The problem with this is that you will have to have already unlocked the weapon via fishing before encoding. There’s no escaping the fishing, I’m afraid.
