Give your base some colorful ambience! Here’s how to get Froglights in Minecraft

Want to spruce up your base with some colorful Froglights in Minecraft? In this guide, we’ll run you through how to get all three colored Frog Lights in Minecraft, a new block introduced as part of The Wild Update.

Crafting Froglights in Minecraft

To make a Froglight, you’ll need to make a Frog eat a tiny Magma Cube. The problem is that these two mobs spawn in pretty different places. Frogs can be found in the Mangrove Swamp biome and the swampy areas that populate these, while Magma Cubes can be found solely in the Nether.

In particular, the Magma Cubes can be found in the Nether Wastes, Nether Fortress, Bastion Remains and Basalt Deltas.

The main issue here is to try and get one of these mobs to the other. We’d recommend leashing or tethering a Frog, and then walking your way through a Nether Portal. There are tons of Magma Cubes around here, so all you then need to do is hit one of these and it’ll break down into a number of smaller Magma Cubes. As long as your froggy friend is next to the tiny Magma Cubes, it’ll eat it and voila, you have a Froglight in Minecraft.

All Minecraft Froglight Colors and How to Get Them

The three Froglight colors you can get are Purple, Green and Yellow. The color you get depends on the type of Frog that eats the tiny Magma Cube. We’ve broken these down below:

  • Green Froglight: Green Frogs (Cold Frogs) will need to eat a tiny Magma Cube.
  • Purple Froglight: White Frogs (Warm Frogs) will need to eat a tiny Magma Cube.
  • Yellow Froglight: Orange Frogs (Temperate Frogs) will need to eat a tiny Magma Cube.

That’s everything you need to know on how to get Froglights in Minecraft. For more on Mojang’s blocky creative game, be sure to check out the links below.
