In order to make potions in Hogwarts Legacy, each will need specific items to complete the recipe. The Focus Potion in particular requires one Fluxweed Stem as one of its ingredients.
There are a couple ways to pick up this important item to begin crafting your Focus Potion. Follow this guide to purchase the plant in the lively town of Hogsmeade, or grow your own.
Where To Purchase Fluxweed Stem
Our first method to getting the coveted Fluxweed Stem is by purchasing it through a vendor in Hogsmeade. When you have unlocked the wizarding town, make your way to The Magic Neep at the western side of Hogsmeade. This shop has a wide variety of seed packets for growing, ingredients for immediate purchase, and Room of Requirement items.
Approach Timothy Teasdale just outside his home, and you’ll have access to his shop. At the bottom under ‘Ingredients’, you’ll find Fluxweed Stem available for purchase for 150 Galleon. This is the best way to immediately receive Fluxweed Stem if you don’t have time to wait and grow it on your own.
How To Grow Fluxweed Stem
If you prefer to make your own Fluxweed Stem, you can also obtain it by growing it in a large pot in the Room of Requirement. To do this, you will want to first purchase a conjuration spellcraft for a table with a large pot at Tomes and Scrolls. You can find this store at the very southern tip of Hogsmeade. When you arrive, approach Thomas Brown to check out his wares. You can either purchase the potting table with one large pot spellcraft for 1,000 Galleon, or the potting table with two large pots spellcraft for 3,000 Galleon.
Next, make your way to The Magic Neep to purchase your Fluxweed Seeds. Talk to Timothy Teasdale here, and you’ll find Fluxweed Seeds under the Seed Packets section. They can be purchased for 350 Galleon.
To grow Fluxweed Stem, you’ll have to first unlock the Room of Requirement. You’ll have the chance to access it after you complete the Tomes and Tribulations Quest, which is the eleventh quest in the main storyline. When you are inside, conjure up the Potting Table and you can begin growing your Fluxweed Stem. You can use fertilizer to increase the yield of your Fluxweed Stems, as well.
