If you’re working your way through Resident Evil 4 Remake and struggling to stay alive, Body Armor may be your saving grace. This piece of equipment can negate a huge amount of damage from many different sources.
It’s easy to miss this item, especially if you’re not aware of its usefulness. If you’re trying to beef up your protection using the armor, this guide will explain how to obtain it and keep it in tip-top shape on your journey through RE4 Remake.
Body Armor’s Cost
The Body Armor will become available to players at the start of Chapter 8. Once this Chapter is reached, players should head to the Merchant’s nearest shop and take a look at his wares. The Armor can be purchased for 18,000 Pesetas and won’t take up any inventory space in Leon’s case. This means players are free to purchase and equip the item even if their inventory is full. Body Armor is one of the most useful items in the game, so players should prioritize purchasing it and keeping it repaired. There are few items in the game as important to Leon’s survival as the Body Armor.
Repairing Body Armor
Repairing the Body Armor is simple. Players need to visit the Merchant’s shop and head to the Tune-Up tab. From here, players can heal and damage the Body Armor has absorbed since their last visit to the Merchant. It is worth repairing the Body Armor each time you’re able to, so you can get the most use out of the item. The cost of repairing the Body Armor will depend on how much damage it has taken but usually ranges from 3,000-6,000 Pesetas.
The Body Armor negates damage taken from shots, explosions, and more and can even lessen the damage taken from up-close attacks. Because of this, its importance cannot be understated! This item will also be retained when players start a New Game+ Playthrough, so its value just keeps on going.
