Did you know that this gacha game has an Intimacy system? We’ll explain how you can get and use Intimacy in Wuthering Waves, as well as whether this can lead to romance.
Similar to the Friendship system in Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves’ Intimacy system allows you to earn Intimacy points with Resonators for the chance to earn what the game considers “pleasant surprises”. You can earn Intimacy in Wuthering Waves by completing Simulation Training.
While you may be able to earn Intimacy in different ways, this seems to be the most common way of earning it. You can find the Simulation Training Field in Jinzhou, and it’s the perfect place to earn character upgrade materials, as well as Intimacy points. Simulation Training is also my favorite place to farm Resonance Potions.
There, you’ll meet Yhan, who will grant you trials to partake in for plenty of rewards such as Resonance Potions. Complete a trial, and you’ll find yourself with over 100 or so Intimacy points.
For now, it doesn’t seem like Wuthering Waves allows you to romance the companions. This is due to the fact that the Intimacy system seems very similar to the Friendship system in Genshin Impact, and that system allows you to earn small rewards.
For Wuthering Waves, my guess is that you get similar rewards for getting to certain Intimacy levels with companions. Since the game was just released, we’re still unsure of all there is to see, meaning a romance system could be hidden somewhere.
Nevertheless, from the description of the Intimacy item in Wuthering Waves, we know that you get some sort of “pleasant surprises”, which we’re assuming are just rewards and not a romance plotline. Speaking of systems and mechanics, you can also increase your Chef Level in Wuthering Waves, which can lead to you creating better dishes!
