Crafting and building the best and most useful structures and items in the game will require you to do some fighting. Here is how to get Ancient Technology points in Palworld.
Palworld: How to get Ancient Technology points
If you have visited the Technology tab in your Palworld menu – if you haven’t, please do -, you will notice a bunch of technology upgrades that go from literal wooden boxes to machine guns. However, there is a section that is greyed out called Ancient Technology. Well, the upgrades you can get from this tab are far from ancient and can make your gameplay and overall experience substantially better. However, to unlock each of these upgrades you will have to get Ancient Technology points. Normal Technology points are obtainable after leveling up, but the Ancient ones are only obtainable after defeating Pal bosses for the first time.
There are three main boss sources you can find across the world that will grant you different amounts of Ancient Technology points in Palworld:
Ancient Technology point sources
- Syndicate Tower Bosses: The most difficult bosses in the game will be found in Syndicate Towers. While they will not one-shot you if you have the appropriate leveled Pals, they will have a lot of HP that will make these battles very long. However, these fights will net you the most number of Ancient Technology points, with a total of five.
- Alpha Pal Battles: These Pals are bigger than the base ones and while not as difficult as the Syndicate Tower bosses – and will only net you one Ancient technology point -, they will pose a threat to you and your Pals. You will be able to see them in your map and they will have a determined level. Be sure to have your Party Pals at least at that same level so that these battles end in no time. Also, be sure to capture these Pals since they will pack a punch in future encounters.
- Dungeon Bosses: These Pal bosses will be your final encounter after tackling dungeons in Palworld. While these bosses will grant you Ancient Technology points, you will first have to tackle and defeat all the enemies and challenges throughout the dungeon. Not the best time-wise, but you will get a good amount of XP on the side.

Remember that you will only get Ancient Technology points in Palworld after defeating these bosses for the first time. This means that there is a limited number of points you can collect, which should pose no problem since there is a limited number of Ancient Technology items and structures to craft and build.
