How to get all Hunter suits and passives

Marvel’s Midnight Suns has a bunch of cosmetics and attires for your heroes. While most of the costumes your teammates can wear are just there for the style points, the Hunter’s own wardrobe provides some nifty benefits. Here’s our Marvel’s Midnight Suns Hunter suits and passives guide to help you get all of the player character’s combat outfits.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns Hunter suits and passives guide

The Hunter suits in Marvel’s Midnight Suns provide passives that can be equipped in the Hero’s menu. You can wear a particular attire and choose an entirely different passive if you want. In any case, there are different methods as to how you’ll acquire each.

Progression-based

These Hunter combat outfits are unlocked as you progress further in Marvel’s Midnight Suns:

• Hunter (Common)
  • Unlock: Available by default.
  • Passive: N/A
• Faithbreaker (Rare)
  • Unlock: Progress further in the campaign until Stark and Strange make it.
  • Passive: Symbiote Shell – +10% chance to generate a Symbiote Bind when you play a Hunter card.
• Daemonchylde (Rare)
  • Unlock: Progress further in the campaign until Stark and Strange make it.
  • Passive: Heightened Senses – +1 Resist for Charlie each turn; the Hunter’s and Charlie’s cards have an increased chance to be criticals when drawn.
• Super (Legendary)
  • Unlock: Complete the story.
  • Passive: Master of the Hunt – Reduce all Hunter Collar thresholds by one; the Hunter becomes immune to all negative status effects.

Research-based

These costumes come from certain techs that you research via the Forge:

• High Tech (Rare)
  • Unlock: Complete three missions with Iron Man in the team and reach Research Level 3; research the High Tech suit.
  • Passive: Fully Charged – Gain either +1 Resist or +1 Heroism at the start of every turn.
• Borderline (Rare)
  • Unlock: Reach Friendship Level 2 with Nico and Research Level 4; research the Borderline suit.
  • Passive: Vengeance – +25% chance for enemies to get the Marked debuff if they attack the Hunter.

Alignment-based

These combat outfits are obtained once you reach 150 points via the Light or Dark Alignment system:

• Dark (Epic)
  • Unlock: 150 Dark alignment.
  • Passive: Dark Champion – Dark Attack and Heroic Cards have an increased chance to be criticals when drawn.
• Light (Epic)
  • Unlock: 150 Light alignment.
  • Passive: Light Champion – Dark Attack and Heroic Cards have an increased chance to be criticals when drawn.

Exploration and challenge-based

These Hunter combat suits in Marvel’s Midnight Suns have specific unlock requirements:

• Salem (Rare)
  • Unlock: Collect all 22 Tarot Cards.
  • Passive: Salem’s Savior – +50% chance to draw a card whenever the Hunter KO’s a Lilin demon.
• Midnight Sun (Legendary)
  • Unlock: Complete the Child of Darkness Hunter Challenge.
  • Passive: Shadowstalker – Once per encounter, redraw a Heroic Card to gain the Concealed buff.
  • Note: Concealed has a visual bug where the Hunter might remain with a ghostly/stealthed outline even though they’ve been spotted already.
• Ancestral (Legendary)
  • Unlock: Complete all mystery regions in the Abbey Grounds. Basically, you just need to unlock all Words of Power. At the end of this arc, you’ll be able to enter the basement of Lilith’s Garden. One of the legendary chests there contains the costume.
  • Passive: Ancestors’ Guidance – Hunter abilities do not Exhaust.
