Even though there is nothing necessarily wrong with this, some of the foes you face in Sons of the Forest may call for something a little bit more powerful to put the down. The shotgun is one of the best methods to ensure they stay down.
Preparing To Get The Shotgun
(Required) Shovel
Even though the procedure is simple, there is a core requirement that is required to find the shotgun the shovel is a vital piece of equipment in this case. As soon as you have the shovel in your possession, you are ready to set out on your adventure.
(Optional) Food & Water
All these are not necessary, we highly recommend stocking up or consuming plenty of both food and water before your journey. Doing so will ensure you will make it with sufficient energy and vitality left to not only find the shotgun but defend yourself along the way.
(Optional) Map
The map is the perfect addition to any survivalist inventory giving them easy access to a more detailed view of their surroundings. The map is found in one of the many caves scattered throughout the forest. The closest entrance to the cave in question can be found in the main village. The compass can also be found here.
The Shotgun’s Location
Make your way to the location of the shotgun that is marked on the GPS by following the directions given above. The amount of time it takes to finish your trip will change according to where you are when you initiate the journey. Before going anywhere, you should always make sure you are well-equipped and prepared.
When you get to the designated area, if you are in the right spot, you will find a cross affixed to the ground directly above a coffin that has been buried. Alongside the deceased individual in the coffin, the shotgun is found. The player needs to equip the shovel and then proceed to uncover the casket by digging around it. Only then will they be able to access the contents of the casket.
