How to fix Warzone 2 and MW2 Puget Altus error code

Since launch, both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 have experienced issues. From various bugs and glitches ruining games, to stability complications, it has been a bumpy ride. Now, Warzone 2 and MW2 players are having difficulties fixing the Puget Altus error which prevents you from playing the game.

Puget Altus is an error code related to connection, meaning its either a client-side problem, or an issue with the servers. Below, you’ll find some ways to tackle the error and get back into the Warzone 2 and MW2 action.

How to fix Warzone 2 and MW2 Puget Altus error

If the issue is on the client side, it usually indicates that the problem lies with the internet connection on your PC or other platform. Check if there’s a game update missing that’s preventing you from getting online. If your game is up to date, the next step is to take a look at your internet connection. Shut down your game client, PC or console, and even your router, and wait for a few minutes.

Then, start your system and internet back up and try loading up MW2 or Warzone 2. If you’re still seeing the error code, you may want to try swapping between a wired and wireless connection if that option is available to you.

However, if the issue is down to the servers, there isn’t much that you can do. In this instance, its down to Activision to repair the servers. You can check the server status of both Warzone 2 and MW2 by visiting the Activision support website and selecting your platform.

If all else fails, you can uninstall Warzone 2 and MW2 and reinstall it to try fix the Puget Altus error. As this can be a nuisance and take a long time to reinstall all the content, make it your last resort.
