Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is live, and the island has seen a lot of changes. One of the most notable new weapons is the Kinetic Blade. Much like the Shockwave Hammer from Season 1, the Kinetic Blade is great for both attacking and mobility. Even thought this is a melee weapon, you don’t have to worry too much about being close to your opponent. With its mobility, you can close the gap on another player very quickly.
If you’re going to become Fortnite’s next swordmaster, you’ll need to find the Kinetic Blade and put in a little time with it. The blade can take a little getting used to, but once you master it, you’ll be jumping, dashing, and slicing your way to victory. If you’re looking for some tips and tricks to both find and use the Kinetic Blade, then you’ve come to the right place.
To find the Kinetic Blade, you’ll want to look in the southeast corner of the map. The areas surrounding Mega City are most likely to have Kinetic Blades sitting around for you to pick up.
Just like guns, Kinetic Blades are part of the floor loot, so you might see them sitting out in the open from time to time. While this isn’t the most reliable way to find one, it’s worth keeping an eye open in case there’s a Kinetic Blade just sitting around.
You can sometimes find weapon stands inside buildings. You can also find these weapon stands in dueling rings out in the open. All you have to do is interact with the weapon stand and you’ll pick up the Kinetic Blade.
When you charge up the Kinetic Blade, you dash forward with an attack. However, you can use this dash for mobility. You’re able to dash in any direction, including straight up into the air. You can also chain together these charged attacks to move great distance in any direction over a very short period of time.
The Kinetic Blade doesn’t have a lot of raw power, but it’s great for putting some distance between you and your enemy. In addition to dealing damage, a direct strike will knock back your enemy.
The basic attack deals a decent amount of damage and knocks back your enemy. The great thing about this attack is that you can use it as much as you like. It isn’t limited like the charged attack.
Your charged attack has three charges. There is an augment that can increase that number to four. While the attack is charging, take aim at your enemy. If you’re on target, you’ll slice your way through your opponent.
