The school and surrounding world contain more mysteries and secrets than you’d expect. It’s clear that attention was paid to every detail as the developers brought the Wizarding World to life.
Since you’re here, you’re most likely looking for some tips and tricks to defeat the Infamous Foe Pergit. Infamous Foes are optional world bosses that players can find roaming around or encounter through side quests. Players are rewarded with loot and unique cosmetics for taking down Infamous Foes.
Where Can You Find Pergit?
You can find Pergit within the Korrow Ruins in the northern Hogwarts region. You’ll also run into Pergit during The Tale of Rowland Oakes side quest. If you’re having trouble finding him, the quest should lead you right to his location. You can also use the image we’ve provided above to help locate Pergit. While most Infamous Foes will show up on the overworld map, this one doesn’t seem to appear unless you’re in the Korrow Ruins.
Take Out The Goblin Guards
While you’re fighting the goblins surrounding Pergit, you can build up your ancient magic meters. Avoid taking damage and string together hits to build up your combo meter. Just be careful, because it doesn’t take much for this encounter to get a little bit out of hand.
Play Defensively
While you’re fighting off the goblins, you’ll be faced with a few challenges. The goblins are going to have different colored shields, which means you need to have a variety of spells at the ready to break those shields. This is also a good time to use Crucio if you have it available. Crucio will break any color shield, making it very useful in this situation.
You might also want to back away from the action instead of running into it. Try to keep the enemies in front of you. Keep the enemies from surrounding you. Pay attention to the warning sigils that appear above your head. A red sigil means you need to dodge, while a golden sigil means you can use Protego to block the attack. If you use Protego, you can counterattack with Stupefy to great effect.
Defeating Pergit
Once you have Pergit alone, the hardest part of the fight should be behind you. He will use a magical attack that you can easily avoid because it will begin to mark the ground beneath your feet. Dodge out of the zone, and you’ll completely avoid the attack.
If you managed to build up some ancient magic, now is the perfect time to use it. If you don’t have ancient magic stored up, then just continue to break down his shields and chip away at him with your damage spells. It wouldn’t hurt to have a few potions at the ready in case your health drops below a comfortable range.
