Weekly updates in Fortnite are full of surprises, and sometimes, fresh equipment sneaks under the radar. As we have a new gun to play with, here’s how to find and use the Tri-Beam Laser Rifle in Fortnite.

Where to get the Tri-Beam Laser Rifle in Fortnite

The Tri-Beam Laser Rifle is Epic (purple) rarity and can be found as ground loot or in any chest. In my experience, it’s a rare drop, but it’s freely available across the entire map.

This weapon is energy-based, so you never need to worry about bullets. Simply hold down the trigger, keep your crosshair on the target, and they’ll die eventually.

Is the Tri-Beam Laser Rifle worth using in Fortnite?

The Tri-Beam Laser Rifle feels like the E-11 Blaster Rifle from the Star Wars collab. If you’re unfamiliar, it’s not very good. The Tri-Beam Laser Rifle has infinite ammo, which is a massive strength. The fire rate is a little slow, but the recoil is manageable, and the gun is easy to use. Unfortunately, the damage is pretty lackluster, and the Rifle takes a ton of shots to kill, even if you’re landing headshots.

Sadly, the bad news doesn’t end there. The Tri-Beam Laser projectiles are quite slow, so it’s hard to hit opponents if they are moving or at range. If I’m in a close-range engagement, I’ll be rocking the Nitro Fists or a Shotgun. If I’m at range, any of the current Assault Rifles will likely serve you better.

Feel free to use the Rifle if it’s all you can find, but this is a gun I’d swap out unless you’re going for style points. Cars are absolutely the meta in Chapter 5, Season 3. Vehicle Mods will win you games, so it’s important to know what they do if you want to clutch your next Victory Royale.
