How to experiment with fortune telling

The 8th request for Elizabeth in Persona 3 Reload has you trying out the game’s fortune teller mechanic. But just like other requests, the specifics aren’t readily given to you. So here’s how you can experiment with fortune telling in Persona 3 Reload.

Where to find the Fortune Teller

To do fortune telling in Persona 3 Reload, you need to head over to Club Escapade in Paulownia Mall. In order to enter this establishment, you’ll need to have at least the second level of Courage. Afterward, you’ll be able to enter the club during the evening. Once inside, you’ll find the fortune teller just to the right of the dancefloor. She’s also marked on your map by a little crystal ball icon.

The Fortune Teller can either read your fortune or your future. The latter choice is just her spouting some vague phrases about the current story beat. But the fortune option allows you to alter the kind of enemies that appear in Tartarus. This is really useful for when you need to grind out some extra money or experience. Personally, I’ve used fortune telling every time before heading into Tartarus in Persona 3 Reload.

How to complete Request 8

In order to complete Request 8: Experiment with fortune telling, make sure you pick it up before doing anything else. Some requests can technically be completed without acquring them from Elizabeth first, but not this one. Once you’ve done that, head over to the Fortune Teller and select the Rarity Fortune option. Afterward, all you need to do is venture into Tartarus until you see a rare enemy appear.

The rare enemy will be the little golden shadow that sometimes appears randomly during exploration anyway. Once you beat this shadow all you need to do is head back Elizabeth and hand the Request in. And that’s all there is to it. Fortune telling is a pretty useful tool in Persona 3 Reload though so keep it in mind. Elizabeth has dozens of other requests to complete too, including finding her a Muscle Drink.
