Pokémon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk: How to change throwing style

Never in a million years did we think that Game Freak would implement new ways for players to throw Pokeballs throughout their games.

This feature has been kept the same since the series premiered in the 1990s, and we all know and love the overhead style. However, this can now be changed in the latest DLC for Scarlet and Violet, as players can learn two new styles to throw their Pokeballs.

New Throwing Styles

This can be achieved via Mitch, one of the new NPCs players will meet during their adventures in the Blueberry Academy, and you’ll be able to select this quest via the league terminal within the facility. It’s going to cost 150 BP at the onset for a donation to the academy, and it will unlock the following styles for 10 BP from then on.

  • Left-Handed Throwing Style
  • Reverent Throwing Style
  • Dainty Throwing Style
  • Smug Throwing Style
  • Elegant Throwing Style

Once you have gathered more BP, you’ll be able to donate another 150 BP and unlock the final two styles.

  • Twirling Throwing Style
  • Ninja Throwing Style

These will also cost an additional 10 BP, but the final one players will be able to earn is going to cost a whopping 300 BP, and is the Galarian Star Throwing Style. This will be unlockable after you complete story of The Indigo Disk.

Once you have enough BP in your save, you can go ahead and select this quest, and Mitch will, therefore, teach you the new throwing styles in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

However, this isn’t all the league terminal has to offer for players, as there are numerous new ways for us to take photos, change our appearance, and so much more. The DLC ties in a lot of players’ desires that they wanted to see in The Teal Mask, so it’s nice to see these additions be made this time around.

You’ll need BP to accomplish most of these; we’ve got you covered here.
