Lunaris is a Pal that only appears as a Field Boss in Palworld. This means that it’s rather tricky to catch one, and you’ll have to keep waiting for the boss to respawn in between attempts. It looks like breeding is the only other option.
Lunaris breeding combinations in Palworld
Most Pals in Palworld have numerous breeding combinations, and Lunaris isn’t any different. Breeding offers a way to streamline the process of acquiring the Pals you want, even before the recommended levels of catching them in the wild. As the results of breeding are fixed, you can rinse and repeat to get as many Lunarises as your heart desires.
There are many breeding combinations for Lunaris, but I’ll present the easiest ones that don’t require super powerful Pals — or Lunaris herself.
- Rushoar and Gobfin
- Mau and Tombat
- Rushoar and Beegarde
- Lifmunk and Arsox
- Lifmunk and Chillet
- Tombat and Cremis
- Mozzarina and Swee
- Cattiva and Tombat
- Foxparks and Chillet
- Eikthyrdeer and Swee
These are only a handful of the potential parents that’ll combine to make Lunaris, but these are the easiest, as you’ll come into contact with most of them during your first few sessions. With whatever combination you go for, make sure that one is a female, the other is a male, and that you have plenty of Cake on hand to get the, uh, breeding process moving along.
How to breed Lunaris in Palworld
In case this is your first rodeo, allow me to explain how this actually works in Palworld.
Breeding outcomes are fixed due to the result being based on an algorithm that averages out the Pals’ “power.” That’s why super powerful Pals such as Jormuntide can only be bred through two Jormuntides. At least that’s the very much abridged version of what happens.
When going to breed Lunaris, you’ll need the Breeding Pen, which is unlocked at level 19. This requires 100 Wood, 20 Stone, and 50 Fiber to build. Make sure that you’ve got a lot of space handy, as that’s what it’ll take to build the thing. This structure will clip into the environment somewhat to accommodate, but be careful as if you can’t access the box at the pen’s entrance, you won’t be able to breed.
The Breeding process in Palworld
You’ll have to lift and assign both parents into the Breeding Pen, so the Pals you wish to breed will need to be assigned to that Base. Make sure that one is a female, and that one is a male.
As previously mentioned, make sure that you’ve got a Cake cooking, as that’s the catalyst for the breeding process. The Pals will get ready to breed, but without the Cake, they won’t produce the Egg. You can find the recipe for it in any cooking facility that’s better than the Campfire. Pop the Cake into the box afront the Breeding Pen when it’s done.
Lastly, when the Egg is ready to be taken, pop it in the Egg incubator, and you’ll have hatched your Pal!
