Every type found in Pokémon has a corresponding item that boosts the power of moves of that type. For most of these type-specific items, they provide a 20% boost in power. For example, a Never-Melt Ice item would boost the base power of Ice Beam from 90 to 108.

To boost Dragon type moves in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet you need a Dragon Fang. You can purchase a Dragon Fang for $3,000 from the Delibird Presents shop in Cascarrafa. Cascarrafa is a town located between The Great Crater of Paldea and the Asado Desert. There are two Delibird Presents shops here, with one in the east of Cascarrafa and the other in the northwest corner.

As for the Draco Plate, which was used to boost Dragon types before, it is unfortunately not available in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The Draco Plate is one of Arceus’ plates that determines his active typing. Since Arceus isn’t obtainable in Scarlet and Violet, neither are his plates. This should change once Pokémon Home support is introduced in 2023.

Something to keep in mind with these type-boosting items is that they stack with other bonuses. This includes the 50% granted by STAB as well as relevant abilities like Adaptability and Iron Fist. Also, Attack- and Special Attack-boosting moves like Dragon Dance and Sword Dance will power up your moves even further. To boost Dragon type moves as much as possible in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, it’s important that you take advantage of all of these mechanics

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet can be purchased on the Nintendo Store.
