How to Activate Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower in Tears of the Kingdom

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom presents a variety of towers for players to activate. Once they access the tower’s terminal and get launched into the sky, they can view more of the map. The new knowledge helps immensely with exploration, because Hyrule is a big place (to learn more, check our guide on how to reveal map fog). Some towers offer puzzles you must clear in order to activate their terminals. Here is our guide on how to activate the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom – how to Activate Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower

The Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower rests among the rocky hills at the base of Death Mountain. When you first arrive, you’ll meet a worker named Sawson. He explains that the door to the tower is unexpectedly locked. This prevents you from getting inside and tending to the business at hand.

To access the Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower terminal, you must approach it from above. You need to find some way to scale the tower so you can drop through the opening on its roof and float down the vertical chamber to reach the interior ground level.

When I approached the tower, I didn’t feel creative. My lack of ambition prompted me to take the most direct approach. I decided the most direct way to reach the top of the tower would be to scale it. The webbing and the wood are both easy to climb. There are points along the way where you can rest. It’s a simple way to reach the top. There’s nothing wrong with that approach.

A more intriguing option exists, however. If you roam around the lower area at the base of the hill where the tower is built, you will find large hunks that have recently fallen from the sky. They are common in this area.  One may even fall nearby as you’re exploring. Hop onto a recently descended hunk of sky island debris and use the Recall ability. It will launch you skyward. Wait until your ride ascends to a point a bit above the tower. Then jump from the rock and glide over to the tower’s roof.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for purchase from the Nintendo Store.
