Veterans of Zelda: Breathe of the Wild should recall how there were many Korok Seeds scattered throughout the lands of Hyrule, and the same is true in Tears of the Kingdom. In fact, there are once again hundreds of these to find in the latest Zelda game, just like was true in the prior game.
There are 900 Korok Seeds to collect in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It’s a daunting task to be sure, and isn’t something you’ll finish anytime soon. Perhaps you’re not even meant to.
Korok Seeds are worth collecting though, because these serve as a currency for various upgrades. You can spend Korok Seeds to increase your inventory space for weapons, bows, shields, etc. Players must find and earn these collectibles through many different means which include solving riddles, puzzles, and just general discovery. Some of these tasks are a bit challenging such as helping one such Korok reach his friend.
You can spend your Korok Seeds with a traveling merchant named Hestu. He moves around throughout the course of the game, but you can find him at Lindor’s Brow, Korok Forest, and Lookout Landing. Fortunately, he’ll be at Lindor’s Landing the first time you seek him out. For this reason, it’s best to come prepared to spend big until the next time you manage to track him down.

The answer eludes us still since the game launched recently and the task is so demanding. However, it’s probably not in your best interest to try and collect all of the Korok Seeds. Nintendo made a bit of a joke out of this achievement in Breathe of the Wild by rewarding players with what appeared to be a golden pile of, well, shit. The Great Korok was also willing to do a little dance for Link, just to make him feel warm and fuzzy.
It’s a bit of a trend among some developers to fill their games full of collectibles that require extensive grinds to unlock cosmetics or achievements. Nintendo apparently decided to poke fun at this with an embarrassing reward for such a colossal task. At least be prepared for a similar outcome for your Korok Seed quest, as Nintendo likely won’t reward you with “fruits” for your labor.
