How many chapters does the Like a Dragon: Ishin campaign contain?
The game kicks off with Chapter 1, titled “Escaping Home.” From there, it carries through more than a dozen additional chapters.
In total, there are 14 chapters in the Like a Dragon: Ishin campaign. Most of them can be completed in fewer than a couple of hours. There’s no rush, however. You’ll want to level up and unlock abilities to give you the best chance against some of the boss encounters.

Like many of the Yakuza games before it, Like a Dragon: Ishin derives most of its length from substories. There are 72 of them in total. Players who complete all substories and focus on enjoying additional content will likely finish their time with the game in as few as 60 hours of play.
Even after playing for 60 hours, a lot of players may find they have unmet goals. In addition to substories, the game features Diligence Records. These activities reward players for performing additional tasks. For example, you might need to befriend merchants and other NPCs. There is also a mode called “Another Life.” It finds you running a farm-based business with your tenant. Finally, there are numerous missions to clear and weapons to collect. Such efforts can add dozens of hours of play.
In the end, Like a Dragon: Ishin can last about as long as players wish for it to last. There is additional content to explore even after the credits roll. Players seeking a real challenge can always go through on a higher difficulty setting, as well.
