0

After being pushed back from the usual Tuesday update slot, the Fortnite servers have been experiencing downtime since 1am PT/4am ET/9am BST, with matchmaking being disabled half an hour beforehand. This downtime is to change the servers over to Fortnite v21.20, the latest update for both the battle royale and creative modes. Exactly what’s in the update hasn’t been revealed yet, but some minor changes to the map, along with one or two unvaulted weapons can be expected.

This update will launch on all platforms including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Android. We’ll let you know how long this downtime is expected to last, and when you can get back on and start playing with the new update.

When will the Fortnite downtime end?

There has been no official announcement of how long the downtime is expected to last, but based on previous updates, you should anticipate the servers being down for up to two hours. As such, the servers will most likely be live again by 3am PT/6am ET/11am BST. If any delays occur, then they’ll be announced on the official Fortnite status Twitter account.
