The Preview For House Of The Dragon Episode 9 Shows The Start Of A New War
The upcoming episode is titled The Green Council and will start right after King Viserys’ death. Alicent Hightower tells her father that the king’s parting words were to establish their son Aegon as the next king. After her husband’s death, she gathers a small council, known as the Green Council, which will be in favour of a male successor. On the other hand, a few houses will decide to remain loyal to King Viserys’ words and will support Rhaenyra’s right to the throne.
The difference in opinion is bound to have repercussions, and we will see more dirty politics and more bloodshed in the upcoming episodes and seasons. The preview for the upcoming episode also shows more new characters being added to the series. The whole city seems to be in chaos, and while Alicent can be seen planning everything, Rhaenyra is missing in the preview.
