Best build for Blade in Honkai Star Rail: Relics, Light Cones, Eidolons and Abilities

Blade is a powerful Destruction Path character with strong defensive capabilities. He also hits plenty hard, but some of his most powerful moves require him to sacrifice HP.

To best improve Blade, you need to equip gear that keeps his HP high so he can inflict heavy damage with his best moves. That way, you don’t turn him into a weak link for enemy groups to exploit.

For his Relic, equip Blade with a combination of the Eagle of Twilight Line set and the Fleet of the Ageless set. This effective pairing grants a 10% boost to Wind damage, combined with a 12% increase to the wearer’s maximum HP. Additionally, it buffs ally attack power by 8% when Blade’s SPD reaches 120 or higher. That’s always nice.

The best choice for your Light Cone is The Unreachable Side. Impressively, it increases the wearer’s maximum HP and ATK by 16%. It also enhances attack damage by 30% and has the same effect on any follow-up attacks. An exciting second option is Something Irreplaceable, which restores HP after receiving an attack and increases ATK damage for the remainder of that turn. Finally, Collapsing Sky is a reasonable option among the more common Light Cones.

Blade’s powerful abilities drain his HP, as noted above. Standout options include his Death Sentence ultimate ability, which  combines HP and ATK ratings to hit enemies with Wind DMG. It reduces Blade’s HP by half. Fortunately, Dead and Back Again restores HP. Endless Lifespan improves incoming healing, as well. Players should use skills in a way that regularly tends to Blade’s HP.

Blade’s Eidolons are interesting, in that they help with that maintenance. Rejected by Death, Infected with Life increases his maximum HP up to twice per battle. Ultimate Sword, Hidden Hell adds to the damage his ultimate inflicts, provided Blade is healthy at the time he uses it.  Finally, Body and Soul protects Blade from an otherwise killing blow a maximum of one time per three turns. It could save him if he miscalculates when fighting powerful foes.
