Thunderbrew gives the user the ability to stun and damage nearby enemies in Hogwarts Legacy. It is an exceptionally useful potion to catch opponents off guard, and can help change the tides in battle.
To brew this potion, you will need the required ingredients to make it. This includes Shrivelfig Fruit, a plant with pink bulbs growing from its stem. To obtain this item for Thunderbrew, you can either purchase it or grow it yourself.
Where To Purchase Shrivelfig Fruit
As with many ingredients needed to create a potion, you can purchase Shrivelfig Fruit at The Magic Neep inside the town of Hogsmeade. You can find The Magic Neep on the western side of the town, close by to J. Pippin’s Potions. To make your travel easier, you can take the Floo Flame for West Hogsmeade to reach the shop.
Upon arriving, approach Timothy Teasdale to see the items he has for sale. You’ll find Shrivelfig Fruit under ingredients, and it will cost you 150 Galleon. This will give you 2 Bulbs in total, but you will only need one to brew a single Thunderbrew Potion.
How To Grow Shrivelfig Fruit
If you’d rather take the route of growing Shrivelfig Fruit yourself, and we highly suggest that you do in order to save money, you can grow it inside the Room of Requirement. To get the seeds for Shrivelfig Fruit, you’ll want to return to The Magic Neep. At the shop, the seeds will cost 450 Galleon. You can then return to the Room of Requirement to get started.
Before you attempt to grow Shrivelfig Fruit, you’ll want to make sure you have at least a medium pot to grow the seeds in. You can purchase the conjuration spellcrafts for a medium pot from Tomes and Scrolls in the southern part of Hogsmeade, with the cheapest going for 750 Galleon. You can then conjure up the table, and place the Shrivelfig Fruit seeds in the pot. These will take 12 minutes to grow, with the yield being 5 Shrivelfig Bulbs. To increase the yield, you can add fertilizer to the plant which can be bought or created from a Dung Composter.
