Hogwarts Legacy: Mallowsweet Location Guide
Mallowsweet is a plant in Hogwarts Legacy that is used to unlock Merlin Trials. Here’s where you can find it.
Quick Links
As you begin to travel deeper into the forests of Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll find yourself in contact with Merlin Trials often. Completing these will give you the benefit of having more gear slots, which can be incredibly useful as you pick up new gear from chests.
In order to unlock these Merlin Trials, you will need to offer Mallowsweet. This plant can be either grown on your own in the Room of Requirement, or purchased from a vendor in Hogsmeade.
Where To Purchase Mallowsweet
The first way you can get Mallowsweet is by purchasing it from The Magic Neep, a vendor in the town of Hogsmeade. This store can be found on the western side of town, nearby to J. Pippin’s Potions. You can take the Floo Flame for West Hogsmeade to reach it.
When you’ve arrived, approach Timothy Teasdale to see what he has for sale. Underneath ingredients, you’ll find Mallowsweet Leaves for 100 Galleon. This will provide you with 2 leaves, and you’ll need 5 in total to open up one Merlin Trial. Therefore, you’ll want to purchase a few of these if you want to save up for the trials.
How To Grow Mallowsweet
If you have been given access to the Room of Requirement, we highly recommend growing Mallowsweet in here rather than purchasing it. You’ll save a lot of money through this method. We only suggest you purchase the ingredient directly from The Magic Neep if you want to complete a quest quickly and prefer not to wait for it to grow.
First, you’ll need to return to The Magic Neep. Underneath Seed Packets, you’ll find Mallowsweet Seeds for 200 Galleon. Once you have what you need, head back to the Room of Requirement.
To grow Mallowsweet, you will need to make sure you have a small pot available. You can conjure one up in your room if you haven’t already, and then select Mallowsweet as the active plant. It will take 10 minutes to yield 5 leaves, which is enough for one Merlin Trial. We also recommend adding fertilizer to the plant if you want it to yield even more leaves.
