It has been the dream of an entire generation to be able to run through the halls of Hogwarts as a newly officiated witch or wizard, and now finally we can all live that dream together. After spending a solid hour in the game, you’ll quickly realize how big Hogwarts really is, and how many things there are to discover.
In Hogwarts Legacy, Hogwarts castle is divided up into a handful of major areas, each of which has a number of field guide pages for you to collect using some of the spells at your disposal. It can be really easy to overlook these pages as they won’t always be easily seen or acquired. This guide will walk you through how to find every field guide page in the Library Annex section of the castle.
Revelio Pages
One of the more common spells you will use to discover field guide pages is Revelio. When cast using the left d-pad button, this spell will reveal the hidden pages around you, as well as locked doors, puzzle pieces, and chests. When a field guide page is revealed, it will be shown floating in front of you with a quill writing on the parchment. After collecting it, it will disappear, but can still be viewed in your Collections menu under Revelio Pages.
Portrait of Sir Cadogan
From the Central Hall floo flame, head up the stairs to the area where the banners are hanging down from the ceiling. On the balcony walkway above you, the field guide page is in front of a painting near the walkway that leads to the Grand Staircase.
Palmistry Model
From the Divination Classroom floo flame, head up the spiral stairs until you reach the top. A ladder will drop down. Take that up to reach the Palmistry Classroom. The field guide page will be next to the palm on the table.
Arithmancy Classroom
Start by navigating back to the Divination Classroom floo flame. Head into the room where you can see the rafters, and make your way across the planked floors until you are about halfway. Here you should see another path to your right that leads to a puzzle door. You’ll need to solve the puzzle before proceeding. After through the door, you head up a short staircase and through the classroom door. The field guide page is near the desks where you first entered.
Statue of Gregory The Smarmy
Start at the Potions Classroom floo flame and head towards the main area of Central Hall. The field guide page will be in front of the statue.
Central Hall Fountain
This is one of the easiest ones to get in the Library Annex. Once you are in the Central Hall, head towards the statue of the unicorn and surrounding mermaids in the center of the room, and the field guide page is in front of it.
The Old Librarian
The Library is located in the Central Hall area of the Library Annex. Once inside the Library, head to the second floor. In the westernmost area, you’ll find the field guide in front of the large painting of a man holding a book.
Professor Sharp’s Auror Badge
From the Potions Classroom floo flame, head east through the double doors, and then immediately through a single door on the other side of the hallway you just entered. Make your way to the eastern side of the classroom, and the page will be next to a circular table.
Greenhouse Tree
This is the only Revelio field guide page in the Greenhouse area. Head to the entrance of the greenhouse, and use Revelio in front of the large tree with pink leaves to find the page.
Accio Pages
The second most common form of field guide pages you’ll collect with your Accio spell. These pages are flying around various rooms and outdoor spaces throughout the game. Luckily, there are only a few for you to acquire in the Library Annex. Since these particular pages don’t have their own unique names, we will just refer to them by the location where you find them.
Central Hall
There are three pages here for you to collect. The first one is near the exit to the Transfiguration Courtyard. As you are facing the door that leads you outside, you will see the first page flying around. Aim in the general direction and cast Accio using R2 and then Square.
The next page is conveniently right next to where you found the first one. Turn around, so the door is facing your back, and you will see it flying around higher up in the same room.
The final page in the Central Hall is near the doorway that leads to the Great Hall. The page is flying around where the banners are hanging down. It moves on a very long flight path, so if you don’t see it right away, just wait for it to come around. You can also cast Revelio to be able to better see it as the spell will outline it in blue.
The Library
Navigate to the Library floo flame. Once inside the Library, head to the second floor to get a better view of the page. If you have not yet completed the Flying Off The Shelves side quest, you’ll likely see four similar pages flying around the Library. These are quest related, so feel free to grab them. The quest pages will give you a different notification from the guide page, so you’ll know once you’ve acquired the one you were looking for.
Lumos Pages
You acquire the third type of field guide page by using the Lumos spell. As you navigate throughout the castle, you’ll occasionally encounter a blacked-out mirror with moths on the frame. When you cast Lumos in front of the mirror, it will reveal a location for you to find that is close by.
At this location, you’ll discover a lone moth that needs to be reunited with the mirror. Cast Lumos near the moth to get it to follow you, and then make your way back to the mirror. Once there, you cast Lumos again to end the spell, and the moth will settle into the mirror’s frame and reveal a guide page.
Library Mirror
Navigate to the Library using the floo flame. One the second floor, you’ll find the mirror on the south end, tucked into a little nook. After using Lumos to get a hint of where the moth will be, head around to the westernmost area on the second floor. The moth is resting on a podium near the railing. Cast Lumos to grab the moth, and head back to the mirror to get your field guide page.
Central Hall Mirror
Navigate to the Potions Classroom floo flame, and head back into the Central Hall. As you exit the hallway, you’ll find the moth on the wall next to the Statue of Gregory The Smarmy. Grab the moth with Lumos, and bring it up the stairs into the main area by the unicorn fountain. The mirror is on the wall near the found. Cast Lumos again to end the spell and grab your field guide page.
Levioso Page
The final kind of spell you’ll use to acquire field guide pages is Levioso. As you navigate through Hogwarts, you’ll occasionally find a statue holding an orb. Cast Levioso on the statue, and it will disappear and give you a field guide page.
To get to the Levioso field guide page, you’ll need to first get access to the ability to unlock doors. The statue is behind the locked door near the Greenhouse door in the Central Hall. Once through the door, cast Levioso on the statue to get your field guide page.
