V Rising

Following its huge milestone of 1 million sales, the developers of early access vampire RPG V Rising have shared an update of what’s coming next.

We already know that Stunlock Studios plans to have V Rising in Early Access for around 12 months before launching with a full release. But in today’s update, the studio has shared a little about the first step it plans to take.

In the statement, titled One Million Rising and published on the developer’s blog, Stunlock has said: “Our primary focus right now is bug fixes, balance changes, server optimization, and quality of life improvements.” Following that, the next step will be “to analyze all the data and feedback from the first weeks of Early Access to make sure we can nail the master plan moving forward.”

That doesn’t mean that big changes aren’t in the works, however. The statement goes on to say that the team is “already working on new material to inject more life into Vardoran”. However, improvements come in small increments, and ensuring that bugs are fixed and servers are optimised is the most important step right now.

Stunlock Studios’ marketing director John Ilves had the following to say:

“Our mission will be to find out what is most important to our players and how to take V Rising to the next level. We currently plan to work on more extensive updates rather than run for frequent smaller patches and minor changes. It’s too early to tell when the first bigger V Rising content patch will arrive, as we will give it the time to make sure it brings something new to the experience. This will require more patience from you as a fan!

Meanwhile, we will do our best to make sure the first content update will be worth waiting for.”

Ultimately, the team “promises something very special for 1.0”. And so if you’ve been playing V Rising in Early Access so far, stick with it. Things are only going to get better.
