Hello Neighbor 2 Launch Trailer Shows Off Creepy Gameplay

tinyBuildGAMES is celebrating the launch of Hello Neighbor 2 today with the release of the game’s official launch trailer showcasing the game’s trademark creepy, family-friendly stealth-horror gameplay.

The trailer features the new player character, a photographer named Quentin, exploring more of Raven Brooks than players have ever seen before. The trailer starts off eerily, showing a kid trying to escape from Mr. Peterson’s house, only to be caught by the creepy neighbor. The kid wasn’t the only person caught, as the new main character Quentin took pictures of the whole thing. Quentin then gets spotted by Mr. Peterson before speeding off in what looks to be a news van.

The gameplay looks to expand upon everything the original game introduced. Hello Neighbor’s trademark gameplay looks to be back and better than ever, with more places to hide for the player character in their attempt to not only escape creepy neighbor Mr. Peterson, but also the law.

In the original Hello Neighbor, players were tasked with breaking into and eventually escaping Mr. Peterson’s home/dungeon, with all three acts taking place around the same house. Hello Neighbor 2 looks to shake up gameplay by expanding the neighborhood of Raven Brooks, giving players more choices in their exploration — and more houses to break into.

The launch trailer shows Quentin being chased by more than just Mr. Peterson. In one scene, Quentin is shown being spotted by a police officer, and then being chased through winding hallways and long corridors. In another scene, we see an angry Raven Brooks resident with a shotgun, chasing the player-character down with a hail of scattershot.

Fans of the series are sure to welcome back the hide-and-seek style gameplay. Each house in the trailer features a bevy of hiding spots: from closets to underneath couches, to armoires. There are not just houses to explore either, as Raven Brooks has a news station, a pretzel shop, and what looks to be a creepy dwelling on the river for players to break into.

Hello Neighbor 2 is out now on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, the Epic Game Store, Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Players on Xbox can download and play the game as part of their Xbox Game Pass subscription as Hello Neighbor 2 releases straight onto the service.
