With the release of Harvestella for PC and Switch drawing closer, publisher Square Enix has provided further details about the summer season, detailing new characters, jobs, and in-game locations that come as part of a standalone story.

Alongside the previously announced Fighter, Shadow Walker, and Mage – Harvestella introduces two new jobs in summer, Mechanic and Woglinde, which players can equip in character creation. The mechanic job mainly focuses on physical attacks, allowing players to weaken their enemies with special skills. It also features charge attacks that could be useful for closing the range between foes. Woglinde, on the other hand, takes charge of supporting teammates through song.

Each job has its own skills that players can obtain from the skill board to determine play style. Alongside a pack of active skills that can be used during combat, there are also passive skills taking effect by being acquired. All skills that come with the two new classes will require Job Points that players can earn by simply defeating enemies.

A brand new in-game location called Shatolla was also revealed as part of summer, letting players make friends in a town supporting itself through fishing. Players can enjoy beautiful landscapes graced by giant bubbles, which residents call the Summer Bulla. However, there is a rumor surrounding the town about the sea witch, Lorelei. According to story details, she will probably be the main villain of the summer, as players will embark on a new journey to send her back to the depths of the ocean.

Going into more detail, summer features two new characters, Heine and Emo, each having their own stories that players can learn by interacting with them. Although it is unclear whether they will join players through their journey, however, they will have an impact on the storyline regardless of their jobs and powers.

Developed by Square Enix Montreal, Harvestalla will launch exclusively for Nintendo and PC on November 4th. The demo version of the forthcoming RPG is now available on Nintendo consoles, offering a brief taste of the gameplay and introduction to its non-linear story.
