Guilty Gear Strive Slayer Gameplay Guide Appears

Arc System Works released a new gameplay trailer for upcoming Guilty Gear Strive DLC character Slayer, going over some of his moves, mechanics, and options in a fight. Slayer is set to join the roster on May 30, 2024.

The video goes over Slayer’s overall playstyle, as well as some of the variant options he has to change up his moves. The key to using him according to the guide is good use of Mappa Hunch and Dandy Step to close the gap, before following up with powerful attacks. The damage he deals can be temporarily increased by landing his throw, Bloodsucking Universe, which also restores a small segment of health. Finally, Slayer can consume 100% of his Tension gauge to execute Last Horizon, which can work as a powerful finisher.

Arc System Works announced that Slayer would be the next DLC character coming to Strive back in April, 2024. He will be the final character to arrive as part of Season 2 and the 13th DLC character overall. Shortly before that, it was announced that 3D avatar outfits based on Guilty Gear characters Elphelt Valentine and Happy Chaos would be available to purchase for use in VRChat.

The Slayer character DLC for Guilty Gear Strive is set to release on May 30, 2024, on all platforms. The game itself is readily available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
