Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities Gets First Horrifying Trailer

Starting October 25, Netflix will bring horror stories put together by Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro as part of his Cabinet of Curiosities, a brand-new horror anthology show. Every day, two of the eight episodes will be released, so by Halloween, you’ll be able to have a very scary marathon. We have your first trailer now.

Del Toro will serve as your host to the episodes, and introduce each segment–think of a less sinister Cryptkeeper. The director is also serving as executive producer, co-showrunner, and writer for two of the episodes. Check out the trailer below.

Del Toro is bringing some big names to the director’s chair for each episode of Cabinet of Curiosities. David Prior (The Empty Man), Jennifer Kent (The Babadook), Panos Cosmatos (Mandy), and Ana Lily Amirpour (A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night) all take a turn in horrifying the audience. The series is executive produced by Gary Ungar and J. Miles Dale (The Shape of Water). Dale also serves as co-showrunner with del Toro.

“With Cabinet of Curiosities, [the executive producers] and I, along with our curated team of writers and directors of each story, set out to showcase the realities existing outside of our normal world: whether they come from outer space, the underground, behind the closed door, or simply in our minds,” del Toro told Netflix.

Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities stars Rupert Grint (Servant, Harry Potter), Ismael Cruz Cordova (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, The Undoing, Miss Bala), DJ Qualls (Turning Point, Supernatural), Tim Blake Nelson (Watchmen, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs), Elpidia Carrillo (Predator, Bread & Roses, Euphoria), Nia Vardalos (Love, Victor, Station 19, My Big Fat Greek Wedding) and Tenika Davis (Jupiter’s Legacy, Titans) and many, many more. It premieres October 25, with the final episodes airing October 28.
