Gran Turismo 7 received a new update today, which fixes an issue with the game that used to cause it to crash on certain occasions. Other than that, you can expect nothing more from today’s update for the game.
Recently, Polyphony Digital launched update 1.23, which delivered a large amount of content to the game including three new vehicles, one new Menu Book, and a number of new World Circuits events. However, a new update went live earlier today, bringing a single hotfix to the game. Below, you can check out the official patch notes for update 1.24.
- Fixed an issue wherein the application would crash on the Rewards and Rating screen of certain Race Events, preventing any further progression.
This is the only adjustment made to the game by today’s update, which is the reason why update 1.24 is smaller than previous updates in size. Keep in mind that two hours of maintenance were scheduled for today before the update goes live, which should be concluded by now across all regions if nothing unexpected has happened.
Gran Turismo 7 was officially launched back in March 2022, and since then, the developers are adding new content to the game every month, including three new vehicles per month as well as new circuits and new events.
Since its launch, Gran Turismo 7 has been criticized by the community because of the unfair in-game economy system that would require players to grind unexpectedly long for purchasing new cars, forcing players to spend real-life money to buy in-game currency.
Polyphony Digital listened to the fans’ concerns and tried to balance the in-game pricing of cars and the reward system in two different updates, which made the game more rewarding than before, however, it still seems like fans demand even more adjustments in their favor, as players still need to grind hardly more purchasing new cars.
The next content update for Gran Turismo 7 is expected to arrive later this month, and it will likely feature three new vehicles to enrich the car catalog of the game. Nothing official has been announced regarding this month’s content update so far.
