Best Slugger Tree Abilities

Slugger offers Robin increases to Critical Chance and Critical Damage as well as improved damage when striking enemies from behind, but its better skills are certainly its ability to apply Elemental Effects and allow Robin to take advantage of them.

Elemental Decoy will allow Robin’s Decoy Momentum Ability to apply a large amount of Elemental Effect damage to an enemy that attacks it, pairing well with the following skill in the tree Exploding Decoy that allows the Decoy to leave behind a puddle of Elemental residue which will deal Elemental Effect damage to any enemy that walks into it.

The Elemental Effect Damage applied to the enemy from these skills is determined by Robin’s melee weapon, so be sure to find a melee weapon that uses your preferred element. If you’re struggling to pick, Cryogenic is a useful Element to go for.

Finishing off the tree, Elemental Focus: Critical Chance and Critical Damage are increased by 20% against targets with an active Elemental Effect applied to them, which will allow Robin to increase his damage after the use of Elemental Decoy and Exploding Decoy to help Elemental Effects.

Best Shadow Tree Abilities

The Shadow Tree is Robin’s gold mine of skills that will allow him to become the best Stealth-based character in the game. This tree features skills that will allow him to exploit the enemy’s unawareness and remain undetected as he takes each of them down.

Turnabout Takedown is a simple but incredibly useful skill that will allow Robin to use Takedowns and Stealth Strikes on large enemies such as Bulldozers, Shockers, and Godmothers. This skill will allow Robin to deal huge damage to these miniboss enemies or even outright kill them with a single use — especially when paired with Stealth Damage+, which will increase his stealth strike and takedown damage by 20%.

An ode to the old Arkham games, Vantage Hanging Takedown is a skill that allows Robin to perform a special takedown from vantage points that will hang the target upside down from the vantage point, leaving them screaming and flailing. Pair this with the Vantage Hanging Takedown Mine, which will drop a proximity mine that lures enemies after performing a Vantage Hanging Takedown; this combo allows Robin to manipulate his opponents and shepherd them into certain areas, taking them down entirely from within the shadows.

At the end of the tree, Shadow Renewal is a useful tool that will restore 25% of Robin’s health after he performs a successful takedown on a target, granting him impressive self sustain.

Best Tinkering Tree Abilities

The Tinkering Tree greatly improves Robin’s ability to both apply and resist Elemental Effect damage as well as allowing him to improve his ranged attacks.

Elemental Charge, the opening skill of the tree, increases the speed of Robin’s Elemental Effect Build-up by 25%, allowing him to apply Elemental Effects much faster, which he can then take advantage of with the tree’s final skills.

Enhanced Elemental Effects causes Elemental Effects applied by Robin to last twice as long as usual. Elemental Burst is another excellent skill; when Robin deals Elemental damage, it will grant him a 5% chance to deal additional AoE Element Damage and reduce the enemies Elemental Resistance by 50% for 10 seconds. This coupling of skills turns Robin into an excellent character for controlling opponents through the use of Elemental Effects such as Cryogenic, Bioelectric, and Concussive — or by simply dealing huge amounts of damage through Incendiary and Toxic.

Though a somewhat more situational skill, Enhanced Sticky Pellets will cause Robins Sticky pellets to deal 33% more damage and last up to 10 seconds, this makes his Sticky pellets great for use as traps and lures to bait enemies into certain areas and lure them into stepping on the pellets.

Once unlocked by completing the Knighthood challenges as Robin, The Knighthood tree offers further ways to improve Robin’s ability as well as directly improve his Microbots Ultimate by reducing its cooldown or increasing the number of spawned microbots.

Stealth Takedown+ will grant Robin a series of buffs for 15 seconds after performing a takedown, increasing his Damage, Critical Chance, Defense, and Elemental Effect build-up, allowing him to start fights with a huge advantage against his opponents.

Aerial Attack Smoke will offer Robin a hit-and-run type of play style — hitting an opponent with an aerial attack will be followed by a cloud of smoke that allows Robin to re-enter stealth.

Slideways Takedown allows Robin to disrupt enemy formations and take out valuable targets that may otherwise be well protected and difficult to approach. The skill allows Robin to use AR mode to target an enemy and teleport them to himself where he will then perform a takedown.
