It is required that players first complete the Secret of the Sands quest before venturing into finding all the 6 Tributes. For those unaware, Secret of the Sands is also the first side quest players will initiate after setting foot in Alfheim. These Tributes are great because, along the way, players will be able to grasp more lore and backstory involving Freya and her brother Freyr. Each Tribute is in the form of an item. For those keen on the God of War series’ plots, going on a hunt for these artifacts is fantastic and gives the story more dimension, especially for Freyr and Freya. There are a total of 6 Tributes: the Horn, the Token, the Harp, the Pipe, and the Bracelet.

All 6 Tributes to Freyr Locations

All Tributes to Freyr will be dispersed either in the Barrens or in the Burrows – players may find themselves finding multiple Tributes within a small period because of this. Tributes are also glowing purple, and due to the contrast of the ground, are easy to pinpoint even from afar. Moreover, all Tributes will be seen on the ground rather than tucked away in a chest. There are no puzzles or additional work. The only extra work players will need to get through is killing off some pesty Dark Elves.

Tribute to Freyr #1 – Dream Charm

The Dream Charm Tribute is the only Tribute that can be found while playing through the main story and most likely the first players will discover without necessarily trying. Venturing through Alfheim through the main story path, players will discover tons of chests to loot along the way. This Tribute is to the left of a Nornir chest – both are located slightly south of The Strond letters on the map. The Dream Charm’s significance in the story is to absorb and ward away nightmares, preventing those who use it from being corrupted by them.

Tribute to Freyr #2 – Horn

Second on this list is the Tribute, Horn. This Tribute is found while venturing into the Barrens. Fortunately, because the Barrens is small, this Tribute is a walk in the park to find. Continue through the Barrens, the Horn (like all the others on this list) will be glowing purple. It will be in a corner, underneath The in The Barrens on the map. The horn in the story’s significance is to symbolize peace and tranquility, at least Freyr’s desire for peace. Freyr played this Horn in hopes of ending a war between the elves, but it didn’t work out.

Tribute to Freyr #3 – Token

The third Tribute on this list is the Token, and it is found north of the Burrows in the Forbidden Sands. On the map, it is located slightly south of the E letter in Forbidden. However, keep wary of the area because Dark Elves will be patrolling. Players will need to clear out the Dark Elves – after doing so, the Horn will be lying on the ground. The Token in the story represents Freyr’s likeness.

Tribute to Freyr #4 – Harp

The fourth Tribute on this list is the Harp, which is close to where players previously found the Horn – in the Barrens. Thankfully, the Barrens are small, and players likely found the Harp while attempting to find the Horn. Upon entering the area from the entrance, take a right – there will be a cave entrance that Kratos can slide through. Inside, players will find the Harp. The Harp’s significance in the game story is an ode to Freyr’s musical skills, as he was very talented at playing the Harp.

The fifth Tribute on this list is the Pipe, which, like the Token, is in the Burrows, on the bottom level. More specifically, the Pipe is in the central area of The Forbidden Sands. After players venture down to the lower level, the Pipe will be found lying on the ground close to a neighboring Nornir Chest. The pipe in the story’s significance is it being a ceremonial pipe.

Tribute to Freyr #6 – Bracelet

The sixth and final Tribute to Freyr will be situated right at the entrance to the Light Temple. The Light Temple’s entrance is in the northeast corner of the Forbidden Sands on the map. As players get closer to the Temple’s entrance, there is a wood pile to the right. Near it, players will also find the Bracelet on the ground. The significance of the Bracelet in the story was that it was crafted specifically by Freyr’s Light Elf Supporters but was discarded later.
