Finding The Spirit

Kratos finding the spirit who is missing their hourglass

In order to start the mission, you’ll need to find the spirit first. From the Sinkholes Entrance Mystic Gateway, head up the grappling wall next to the gateway and follow the path until you reach an open area. If this is your first time reaching this area, you’ll have to deal with the dragon before you proceed. Dodge its flames and take out the pillars it rests on by using your Draupnir spear, and it will fly away, allowing you to freely navigate this area without being incinerated.

Once the dragon is dealt with, head right from where you entered the area until you reach a gate. Raise the gate by pulling on the chain, and hop over the gap to the other side. From here, you’ll need to use Sigil arrows and your Chaos chains to burn the vines blocking your path. Once you’ve cleared them, use your Leviathan axe to freeze the poison totem, and then slide through the crack in the wall. The spirit is on the other side.

Ride The River

Kratos and Freya ride a boat throughout the rivers in Vanaheim

After speaking with the spirit, turn around and head back the way you came, moving towards the Sinkholes Entrance Mystic Gateway. Once you reach the gateway, hop over the river and get in the boat. Once in the boat, immediately turn right and make your way up the river. This will lead you back to the area where you encountered the dragon, but this time you’ll be able to reach the other side.

When you enter this area, continue right, steering around the island the dragon was sitting on. Dock your boat, and head over to the big gate next to the dock. Raise the gate using the chain, and then hop back in your boat. From here you’ll move down the river, through the opening the gate was blocking. Keep heading down the river and you’ll eventually reach another open area with a dock to your left.

Find The Hourglass

Kratos fights enemies and dodges dragon's flames to find hourglass

After docking your boat on the beach, head into the underground area in front of you. In this area, you’ll face many enemies as well as a dragon blowing fire at you. The dragon is more of an environmental obstacle, so just avoid its flames by hiding behind the rubble where you can. Some of the enemies you’ll have to fight yourself, while others can be taken out by the dragon’s flames.

Once you get to the end of this area, you’ll have to hop up a ledge. Once at the top, you’ll be facing the dragon head-on. Immediately run to your left to take cover from the flames. From here, you’ll see a destructible wall. Use your Draupnir spear to destroy the wall, which causes part of the roof to collapse. This will block the dragon from burning you, and the hourglass you’re looking for will fall in front of you. Pick it up to talk to the spirit one more time and complete the mission.
