Get The Two Biggest Movies Of The Year On Blu-Ray For Only $26

After a few turbulent years, audiences flocked back to theaters in 2023 thanks to the release of several notable pop culture phenoms. Two of the biggest blockbusters of the year–Barbie and The Super Mario Bros. Movie–have used the power of nostalgia to make a massive dent in the box office, and if you’re looking to add those movies to your collection, you can get both of them at a sizable discount.

First up, the Barbie movie is down from $40 to just $13 on Blu-ray. Starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, this is a wonderfully weird film about the classic toyline that gives Barbie an existential crisis. The Blu-ray includes some behind-the-scenes featurettes like Welcome to Barbie Land, Becoming Barbie, and Musical Make-Believe. You also get a digital copy with the Blu-ray. If you’d like a 4K version of that film, that one will cost slightly more and is available for $25.

For the younger members of the family and longtime Nintendo fans, The Super Mario Bros. Movie is a wonderful video game adaptation. It’s respectful of its past, looks terrific thanks to the animation work of Despicable Me studio Illumination, and has a solid cast of actors bringing the characters to life. Yes, Chris Pratt does a pretty decent job as Mario here.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie

On this disc, there are several behind-the-scenes featurettes, a field guide to The Super Mario Bros. universe, leadership lessons from Peach’s voice actor Anya Taylor-Joy, and a “Peaches” music video in case you want Jack Black worming his way into your head again with a catchy number. You can grab the 1080p Blu-ray–it comes with a DVD and digital code, too–for only $13. You can step up to the 4K edition for $23.

“More than just another cartoon comedy, The Super Mario Bros. Movie is a surprisingly great action flick,” Phil Owen wrote in GameSpot’s The Super Mario Bros. film review. “Both pretty funny and also just plain pretty–this movie is a feast for the eyes.”
