‘Genshin Impact’ Version 4.6 Update Pre-Installation Is Now Available on iOS, Android, and PC – TouchArcade

Earlier this month, HoYoverse detailed the next major Genshin Impact (Free) update, version 4.6, in its livestream. Genshin Impact version 4.6 “Two Worlds Aflame, the Crimson Night Fades” launches beginning this Wednesday (depending on your timezone) bringing in Arlecchino as a playable character and a Weekly Boss, a new region in Fontaine, the Inazuma music festival, and more. Ahead of its launch, pre-installation has just gone live on mobile and PC, but this time things are a bit different. The official announcement from HoYoverse for Genshin Impact 4.6 pre-installation and the update mentions that the logic of some game files changing to optimize the overall experience. Thanks to this, pre-installation will be larger than usual, but the overall file size after that will be smaller. On my iPhone 15 Pro, the Genshin Impact 4.6 download size is about 8.6GB for pre-installation. The official announcement mentions it being between 28.72 and 36.2GB on PC and 8.57 and 9.9GB on mobile. You can pre-install from the title screen after logging in as usual. Pre-installation will make sure the game doesn’t take too long to update once you get the client update on 4.6’s release date. The PC version is available on the official website here and the Epic Games Store. If you play on iOS, with iOS 14.5 or iPadOS 14.5 and later, you can use PS5 and Xbox Series X|S controllers to play Genshin Impact.
