Genshin Impact Sethos best DPS build and team comps

Sethos is the new 4-Star Electro bow character from Version 4.7. If you’ve pulled Sethos in Genshin Impact and are looking for the best DPS build and team comps for him, you’ve come to the right place.

Best DPS build for Sethos in Genshin Impact

This 4-Star bow user can deal Empowered Shots to deal extra Electro DMG, while abilities like his Elemental Skill can pull him away from danger while still dealing damage. There’s a lot of potential with Sethos, but only with the right DPS build. Let’s go over the best Artifacts and weapons for Sethos.

Best Artifacts

By far, the best Artifact set for Sethos is Wanderer’s Troupe. This is because his attacks scale with Elemental Mastery and he can dish out instant Charged Attacks, leaving him with better damage results while having a 4-piece Wanderer’s Troupe set equipped. This set is attainable from the majority of bosses or Domain Reliquaries in the Spiral Abyss.

  • 2-piece: +80 Elemental Mastery.
  • 4-piece: Increases Charged Attack DMG by 35% if the character uses a Catalyst or a Bow.

Besides Wanderer’s Troupe, you could always go for a set like Thundering Fury to deal extra Electro DMG or Gilded Dreams which also improves Sethos’ Elemental Mastery. While you can obtain Thundering Fury Artifacts from the Midsummer Courtyard Domain, the Gilded Dreams set is from the Spire of Solitary Enlightenment Domain.

  • Thundering Fury
    • 2-piece: +15% Electro DMG Bonus
    • 4-piece: Increases damage caused by Overloaded, Electro-Charged, Superconduct, and Hyperbloom by 40%, and the DMG Bonus conferred by Aggravate is increased by 20%. When Quicked or the aforementioned Elemental Reactions are triggered, Elemental Skill CD is decreased by one second. Can only occur once every 0.8 seconds.
  • Gilded Dreams
    • 2-piece: +80 Elemental Mastery.
    • 4-piece: Within eight seconds of triggering an Elemental Reaction, the character equipping this will obtain buffs based on the Elemental Type of the other party members. ATK is increased by 14% for each member whose Elemental Type is the same as the equipping character, and EM is increased by 50 for every member with a different Elemental Type. Each of the buffs will count up to three characters. This effect can be triggered once every eight seconds and even when not on the field.

Best weapons

Sethos can use a range of bows to his advantage, but only a few have skills and stats that can improve his build to the best effect. Hunter’s Path is probably the best out of the choices below since he not only gains a boost in Elemental DMG, but his Charged Attack DMG increases by a whopping 160% of his EM.

Sethos’ kit is built around Charged Attacks and EM, making this a perfect bow to wield. Of course, if you can’t get your hands on Hunter’s Path there are always the three other choices listed below that can improve his build.

Weapon Rarity Base ATK/Bonus Stat Skill Effect
Hunter’s Path 5-Star Base ATK: 44
Bonus Stat: +9.6% CRIT Rate
At the End of the Beast-Paths: Gain 12% All Elemental DMG Bonus. Obtain the Tireless Hunt effect after hitting an opponent with a Charged Attack. This effect increases Charged Attack DMG by 160% of Elemental Mastery. This effect will be removed after 12 Charged Attacks or 10 seconds. Only one instance of Tireless Hunt can be gained every 12 seconds.
The First Great Magic 5-Star Base ATK: 46
Bonus Stat: +14.4% CRIT DMG
Parsifal the Great: DMG dealt by Charged Attacks increased by 16%. For every party member with the same Elemental Type as the wielder (including the wielder themselves), gain one Gimmick stack. For every party member with a different Elemental Type from the wielder, gain one Theatrics stack. When the wielder has 1/2/3 or more Gimmick stacks, ATK will be increased by 16%/32%/48%. When the wielder has 1/2/3 or more Theatrics stacks, Movement SPD will be increased by 4%/7%/10%.
Scion of the Blazing Sun 4-Star Base ATK: 44
Bonus Stat: +4% CRIT Rate
The Way of Sunfire: After a Charged Attack hits an opponent, a Sunfire Arrow will descend upon the opponent hit, dealing 60% ATK as DMG, and applying the Heartsearer effect to the opponent damaged by said Arrow for 10 seconds. Opponents affected by Heartsearer take 28% more Charged Attack DMG from the wielder. A Sunfire Arrow can be triggered once every 10 seconds
Cloudforged 4-Star Base ATK: 42
Bonus Stat: +36 Elemental Mastery
Crag-Chiseled Forge: After Elemental Energy is decreased, the equipping character’s Elemental Mastery will increase by 40 for 18 seconds. Max two stacks.

Best Sethos team comps in Genshin Impact

With reactions such as Hyperbloom and Aggravate in Sethos’ arsenal, having team members who complement his abilities will make for high damage and survivability. Here are the best team comps for Sethos to help elevate those reactions and abilities.

Best Hyperbloom team comp

Main DPS Sub DPS Support 1 Support 2
Sethos Raiden Nahida Furina

Sethos and Raiden as the two DPS users can trigger Hyperbloom whenever it reacts with Nahida’s Dendro Cores. Sethos can activate Hyperbloom using his Empowered Normal Attacks.

Then there’s Furina who can create Electro-Charged reactions with her Hydro attacks, as well as create Dendro Cores using the Bloom reaction with Nahida’s Dendro attacks.

Best Aggravate team comp

Main DPS Sub DPS Support 1 Support 2
Sethos Fischl Kazuha Baizhu

Creating the Aggravate reaction is by applying Electro DMG to Quickened enemies, who can become Quickened by receiving Electro and Dendro DMG. With that in mind, having Baizhu on this team isn’t just for healing and buffing, but also for helping create that Aggravate reaction.

Once enemies are Quickened, Sethos or Fischl can step in to apply Electro DMG to Aggravate them. We also have Kazuha here for extra AoE crowd control damage and for buffing Elemental DMG.

Now that you have the best DPS build and team comps for Sethos in Genshin Impact, you may also pull Clorinde since she came with Version 4.7 as well and is an excellent 5-Star Electro sword user.
