How to unlock Noelle’s second Hangout Event

Noelle’s Hangout Event, Act II: Knightly Exam Prep, can be unlocked as soon as you’ve completed a few prerequisites. First, you’ll need to wrap up Noelle’s prior Hangout Event by reaching every single ending. It’s definitely a tedious task, but don’t worry — we’ve got your back with our ending guide for Noelle’s first Hangout Event, Chivalric Training.

You’ll also need to finish Chapter I: Act III – A New Star Approaches, which is a part of the Archon Quests (and further on than the quest required to unlock Noelle’s first Hangout Event). Once you’ve finished her first Hangout Event and caught up on all your quests, you’ll also need 2 Story Keys, which can be claimed through the Story Quests menu. You’ll need to complete 8 Commissions to earn 1 Story Key, so make sure to plan ahead and complete your dailies accordingly!

Once you’ve unlocked Noelle’s second Hangout Event, you won’t need to spend more Story Keys to go back and redo the event. You’ll also be able to redo events from checkpoints you’ve already reached, making new endings less time-consuming to reach.

Noelle Hangout Ending #1 — Rest Amidst the Rocks

In this ending, you and Noelle will share some tea in Liyue after helping out the Millelith. Noelle’s fears about her upcoming exam are somewhat eased, too, so this is widely regarded as the best ending in this Hangout Event. To get this ending, follow the steps below (or skip to any of the applicable checkpoints if possible):

• During Studious Maid, remind Noelle to take it easy by saying “Pushing yourself too hard will only make things worse.”
• Pick “A change of scenery might do you good.”
• During Journey to Liyue, meet Noelle across Teyvat and select “Well, you do look especially good today.”
• Reassure Noelle by picking “Some foods here can be eaten without chopsticks. Want to have a look?”
• Say “You never know, the exam may test your ability to work with partners from Liyue.”
• After exploring Liyue alongside Noelle, say “The harbor. We may learn something from the Millelith.”
• The rest of your choices in this ending don’t matter — feel free to select anything you’d like.

Noelle Hangout Ending #2 — The Maid-Knight’s Tale

In this ending, you’ll follow a path very similar to the last, though you’ll end up helping out a storyteller by providing some inspiration. To reach this ending, follow the steps below (or skip to any of the corresponding checkpoints to make things a bit easier for yourself):

• During Studious Maid, tell Noelle “Pushing yourself too hard will only make things worse.”
• Select “A change of scenery might do you good.”
• During Journey to Liyue, meet up with Noelle in Liyue and tell her “Well, you do look especially good today.”
• Tell Noelle “Some foods here can be eaten without chopsticks. Want to have a look?”
• Say “You never know, the exam may test your ability to work with partners from Liyue.”
• Change your plans by saying “Let’s head to Third-Round Knockout, then keep exploring.”
• You’ll later need to give a Chaos Device to Iron Tongue Tian, so if you’re all out, find a Ruin Grader, Guard, or Hunter.
• The rest of your choices in this ending don’t matter — feel free to select anything you’d like.

Noelle Hangout Ending #3 — Perfect Score

In this path, you’ll help Noelle prepare for her exam by acing the Adventurer’s Entrance Exam. Ready to be her study buddy? Follow these steps (or head to any of the appropriate checkpoints to skip ahead):

• During Studious Maid, tell Noelle “Don’t hide from it. Confront the stress of the exam directly.”
• Give her the advice “You could take some more exams to get used to the atmosphere.”
• During the Adventurers’ Entrance Exam, help Noelle by selecting “Windwheel Aster,” “Roald,” and “Mare Jivari.”
• Select “Steak” and then cook (you guessed it) a Steak.
• You’ll then have to defeat a Ruin Guard to prove Noelle’s abilities, which can be a pretty tricky task if you’re not prepared. Make sure your team is healed up and ready to fight!
• The rest of your choices don’t matter, so free feel to say anything you like.

Noelle Hangout Ending #4 — Points Deducted

This ending’s pretty similar to the last, though Noelle will finish the exam with a few points deducted. If you’re in the mood to sabotage Noelle’s exam score (we won’t tell), follow these steps or skip to any of the appropriate checkpoints:

• During Studious Maid, tell Noelle “Don’t hide from it. Confront the stress of the exam directly.”
• Give her the advice “You could take some more exams to get used to the atmosphere.”
• During the Adventurers’ Entrance Exam, help Noelle by selecting “Windwheel Aster,” “Roald,” and “Mare Jivari.”
• Select “Emergency Food” or “Mondstadt Grilled Fish” (these are incorrect, but you have to select an incorrect answer to get this ending).
• You’ll then have to defeat a powerful Ruin Guard to prove Noelle’s abilities, which can be difficult without the right team composition. Make sure your team is healed up and equipped with good weapons! (Alternatively, if you can’t seem to take down the Ruin Guard, answer “Steak” (the correct answer) instead of “Emergency Food” or “Mondstadt Grilled Fish,” which will allow you to fail the Ruin Guard portion of the test while still passing.)
• The rest of your choices won’t affect the ending you get — feel free to pick anything!

Noelle Hangout Ending #5 — The One and Only Noelle

In this ending, you’ll help a Mondstadt resident find her missing monocle alongside Noelle. To go on this little scavenger hunt, pick the following bits of dialogue (or skip ahead to any of the corresponding checkpoints):

• During Studious Maid, encourage Noelle to face her fears by saying “Don’t hide from it. Confront the stress of the exam directly.”
• Advise her by selecting “You could try to imagine yourself passing the exam.”
• During Outrider 101, tell Noelle “You could become an Acting Grand Master, like Jean.”
• The rest of your choices here won’t matter, so feel free to pick anything you’d like.

Noelle Hangout Ending #6 — Work Made for a Maid

In this ending, you’ll help Noelle become… a waitress? The Angel’s Share is short-staffed, so you and Noelle will pitch in. If you’re ready to take on one of the most mundane jobs in Mondstadt, follow these steps (or save yourself some time by skipping to one of the included checkpoints):

• During Studious Maid, say “Don’t hide from it. Confront the stress of the exam directly.”
• Select “You could try to imagine yourself passing the exam.”
• During Outrider 101, say “You could become a Cavalry Captain like Kaeya.”
