One of the most anticipated characters in Genshin Impact has finally been announced.
As fans wait for the 3.4 Update to release in Genshin Impact, miHoYo has unveiled the first look of the two new characters for the Genshin Impact 3.5 update, Dehya, and Mika.
While fans did have a fair idea about the probable characters of the 3.5 Update via credible leakers in the community, we have seen miHoYo proving leakers wrong every now and then. It’s been a while since we have got a Pyro character, and Dehya is here to end the drought. Fans might have seen Dehya in action if they have completed the Chapter 3 Archon Quests of the Lesser Lord Kusanali. miHoYo hasn’t revealed what weapon Dehya will wield or its rarity, but as per leaks, Dehya will be a Claymore user. Dehya is also known as “Flame-Mane”, and is a part of “Blazing Beasts”, one of the brigades of the mercenary organization dominating the Sumeru region, The Eremites. Considered one of the bravest warriors in the circle, Dehya is often regarded as a lion that cannot be “tamed.”
Mika on the other hand is a Cryo character, and this is the first time we are getting a character from the Mondstadt region after the release of Eula, which dates all the way back to 2021. As with Dehya, the developers have not revealed the rarity and weapon of choice for Mika as well, but it is speculated to be a polearm user. Considering these things are not official yet, this could still change as there are still almost six weeks to go before the update is released. Mika is a part of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company, whose current leader is Jean. Unlike most characters who are ferocious warriors, Mika is known to perform duties such as “setting up tents, lighting fires for cooking, repairing equipment” for his team.
While both the characters look quite exciting, a lot of fans have been waiting for Dehya in particular, since her first look in the game was quite elegant, significantly building up the hype around her release. We should be learning more about the new characters a month down the line when the developers organize a live stream to give an insight into the next update.
