Genshin Impact 3.0 Beta Set To Reveal Sumeru And Dendro, How to Register

0

Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse just opened the applications for the next Private Beta Test, which was teased both in-game and by leakers to be Version 3.0 containing the Sumeru region – here’s how you can register.

What To Expect From Genshin Impact 3.0

Genshin Impact Version 2.6, by adding The Chasm area, teased several story elements regarding the Sumeru region. Sumeru is the 4th of the seven regions of Teyvat, and is located somewhere west of Liyue. Sumeru is also the region of the Dendro archon, meaning Dendro characters like Baizhu will finally become playable. Characters originating from Sumeru like Cyno, seen in the feature image above, will also be introduced.

Last but not least, if HoYoverse follows its past patterns concerning the release of Archon characters, then the Dendro archon Kusanali should be released in Version 3.1. Keep in mind that all the remaining archon characters were confirmed to be female characters in the Story Trailer, back when Genshin Impact got released on September 28, 2020.

How To Sign Up For The Genshin Impact Version 3.0 Beta Test

  • You must join the Genshin Impact official Discord server and access its #genshin-announcements channel, where you’ll find the beta sign-up form.
  • If you never joined the server before, you must verify your phone number and get a role before being able to access all channels.
  • Even if you can access the Beta sign-up form directly with this link, your application will be dismissed if you aren’t part of the Discord server.
  • You must be over 18 years old. No minors allowed in the Beta.
  • You need to provide a valid ID (a valid passport or driver’s license are also accepted).
  • The deadline to apply is Sunday, June 12, 2022, at 6PM EST, 3PM PST, 11 PM BST. Click here for a countdown.

Interestingly, the deadline to apply is much longer this time. We’ve got five days instead of the usual two. This might be a sign that HoYoverse plans to recruit more players than usual, seeing 3.0 adds a new region and there’s much more content to try out than usual.

Do Not Break The NDA

Players who are accepted into the Beta Test will have to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. Long story short, it’s strictly prohibited to share any screenshots, gameplay videos, or details from the Beta Test. Don’t even think of leaking anything. Overall, you should think of being a Beta Tester as something akin to volunteer work. You’re supposed to help out the developers with your feedback. So they can brush-up the new content, balance the characters and gameplay, etc.

In fact, I suggest refraining from applying if you know you won’t be able to resist sharing details with friends. You never know what could happen, and it’s not worth risking your future for a small moment of social media glory. I can’t stress this enough. Don’t believe you’re J. R. Ewing and can get away with leaking. If you had to read this article in the first place, that’s already a red flag you’re not savvy enough.

It’s quite easy for HoYoverse to track down Beta Test players leaking their own gameplay, seeing the devs collect pretty much all player data. From damage numbers to inputs, everything is recorded. This is public knowledge seeing the player data published in the Teyvat Times on Twitter.

Genshin Impact 2.8 officially releases on July 13, 2022. Genshin Impact 3.0 should be released six weeks later on August 24.
