Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse (previously miHoYo) just held on May 20 the sneak peek livestream for Genshin Impact update Version 2.7, Hidden Dream in the Depths, revealing which 5-Star characters are getting banner reruns, new Events, and a new map of the Chasm was shared as well.

Genshin Impact 2.7 will feature Itto and Xiao banner reruns
The Xiao rerun will be held at the same time as the Yelan banner, starting May 31. Meanwhile, Itto will get his first ever rerun during the second part of the patch.
The Yelan and Xiao banners will be on from May 31 till June 22, and then Itto will take over from then, with Kuki Shinobu as a new 4-star character on his rerun. A new weapon banner will also happen during the Yelan and Xiao rerun, with the 5-star Bow Aqua Simulacra.

Shinobu will also get her Hangout Event Part 1 in 2.7.
New Events in 2.7 Revealed
Main event: Perilous Trail
The main event of 2.7, Perilous Trail, will focus on Yan Fei, Yelan, Shinobu, and Itto. We’ll most notably be able to get a 4-star Bow for free, Fading Twilight, along with its refining materials. The event itself takes place in the Chasm, and it’ll be separated into several parts, including arena battles (with trial characters to help out newer players) and exploration.

New Rhythm Game Event – The Almighty Arataki Great and Glorious Drumalong Festival
We’ll be able to make our own beatmaps this time. Moreover a new calibration feature was added. Check out the gameplay below.
Housing related event – Core of the Apparatus
A toy merchant from Fontaine created a devices that generates toys furnishings with the right materials. We’ll have to help him gather materials and hunt down monsters to unlock unique furnishings for the Serenitea Pot.
New event in the Chasm – A Muddy Bizarre Adventure
Is That A JoJo Reference?! This time, we’ll have to help out Sumeru scholars to clean up the Chasm from a resurgence of the black mud. Check out the gameplay below.
Those were all the highlights from the live stream. Personally speaking I’m looking forward to the Chasm event Perilous Trail as the Chasm area has been exceptional so far. Level design, exploration, and well written quests have definitely been the strongest points of Genshin Impact in my book since the launch of Inazuma.
