‘Game Of Thrones’ coming to new mobile puzzle game

Zynga Inc. has confirmed the release date for Mobile puzzler Game Of Thrones: Legends.

Featuring characters from across the Game Of Thrones universe, including prequel series House Of The Dragon, Game Of Thrones: Legends will bring together epic puzzle battles, deck building and deep lore, according to developers.

“In Game of Thrones: Legends, players will lead their own Westeros house, honing their tactics and skill as they strategically assemble a team of champions, equip weapons and gear, and face formidable foes from the Game of Thrones universe,” reads a press release.

A new trailer features a look at iconic characters such as Jon Snow, Rhaenyra Targaryen, the Hound, Ser Criston Cole, and Arya Stark. Check it out below.

Speaking to NME Yaron Leyvand, executive vice president of mobile games at Zyng said: “We have worked closely with the team at Warner Bros. Games to bring the Game Of Thrones universe and characters to life in a rich tableau. In this game, players can build their house of champions with characters from both Game Of Thrones and House Of The Dragon and utilise the lore of the series to create their own unique story.”

“Our goal at Zynga is to create fun and engaging experiences and the Game of Thrones: Legends RPG Puzzle game is designed to create an authentic and immersive adventure for players and fans of the franchise,” Leyvand added.

Game Of Thrones: Legends is due for release July 25 for Mobile, with pre-registration open now for both Android and iOS devices. Players will also receive special, in-game rewards for completing the game’s first chapter during launch week including the chance to claim epic champion Robert Baratheon.

Last week Zynga launched the free-to-play combat game Star Wars: Hunters on Nintendo Switch and Mobile devices. The game sees teams of four players taking to a battle arena in Vespaara and facing-off in competitive matches set across various Star Wars-inspired battlefields including the ice planet of Hoth, the forest moon of Endor, the Death Star and the frustratingly-sandy world of Tatooine.

“With Star Wars: Hunters, we’re inviting fans to a new destination in the Outer Rim to experience a larger-than-life expression of the Star Wars galaxy unlike any we’ve seen before,” explained LucasFilm Games vice president Douglas Reilly.

In other news, here’s everything that was announced at the Xbox Games Showcase over the weekend.
