Fortnite Could Get Flying Rideable Animals In Chapter 3 Season 4

Season 4 of Fortnite Chapter 3 has only just begun, but it appears as though there are still plenty of new gameplay features in the works at Epic Games. According to a reliable Fortnite leaker known as HYPEX, flying rideable animals could be arriving during the course of the current season.

Taking to Twitter, the leaker announced “Fortnite are working on rideable flying animals. You will be able to boost and idle, and it’s most likely what that ‘saddle’ grappler-looking item is for”.

Die-hard Fortnite players will know that there have been rideable animals in the game in the past, first being introduced during Chapter 2 Season 6, which allowed players to ride boars and other creatures. However, none of the animals has been able to fly. The closest fans have come to such a feature is with a chicken, which allowed players to glide from certain heights.

It’s clear that Epic Games still have a lot in store for the remainder of the current Fortnite season, but there are already plenty of new gameplay features that were introduced in the latest content update. Chapter 3 Season 4: Paradise added a new ‘Chrome’ biome to the island, whilst also covering other parts of the Battle Royale map in chrome. Alongside new map changes, there were also plenty of new weapons, including the EvoChrome Shotgun, EvoChrome Burst Rifle, Port-A-Bunker, and many more.

It’s unknown exactly when this new gameplay feature will be introduced, but when it is, HYPEX states that players will be able to boost and idle with the new flying animals. Essentially, this means players will be able to traverse the map on the back of a currently unknown animal, using a boost feature to move quicker and also the ability to idle in one space.

Whether or not the feature will allow players to use their weapons whilst on the back of the animal wasn’t specified, but considering players have previously been able to use their weapons whilst on the back of animals, we don’t see why this would be any different.
