Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 has been action packed from day one. We have seen various franchise crossovers, map changes, new additions to the loot pool, and plenty more. As this season is concluding, fans are understandably looking ahead to the upcoming Season 4. However, details have emerged that go beyond what could be in store in the near future, as a leak has reportedly revealed the release date for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 5.

Prominent industry insider, Tom Henderson, has supposedly leaked the potential release date for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 5. According to a tweet by Henderson, the fifth season will make its debut at the end of this year on December 5. At the time of writing, that is all the information the leak has provided us with, and it is unknown what content could be planned for the fifth installment of Chapter 3.

How likely is a December release date for Season 5?

A December release date is not totally unrealistic, as previous seasons have kicked off during the final month of the year. Notably, Chapter 3 launched on December 5, 2021, and if the leak rings true, Season 5 could follow suit. Of course, scheduling could change slightly by the time the fifth season comes around.

As always, leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt. After all, Epic Games has yet to even confirm its plans for Chapter 3 Season 4. It’s thought that it will begin on or around September 17 simply because that’s when the current battle pass is due to end.

Meanwhile, we still have a few days left before the conclusion of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3. Fire with Fire Week recently went live and unvaulted the Primal Flame Bow and Dragon’s Breath shotgun. Also, some new limited-time quests have arrived, which give you an opportunity to earn some extra XP and give your battle pass a final boost.
