Unlike FIFA 23, which will have a dedicated mode for the upcoming World Cup 2022 tournament, Football Manager 2023 will not feature a licensed World Cup mode, as the game has always focused on club management rather than national football teams.

If you pre-purchase Football Manager 2023, you will get a 20% discount on the price as well as early access to the game before the worldwide release. While you can grab the game for $47.99 now, the price will rise to the standard $59.99 after the official launch. The game only features a Standard Edition and there are no higher-tier editions with in-game bonuses.

Alongside Football Manager 2023, Sega will launch Football Manager 2023 Touch on Apple Arcade as well as Nintendo Switch. This is a lighter version of the original game with better controls for iPad users as well as a less power-demanding match engine that fits into the hardware capabilities of iPad and Nintendo Switch. Android users will also receive access to the Touch version similar to previous years.

Football Manager will officially license UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europe League this year. Also, Manchester City will be fully licensed this year as one of the superior Premier League teams alongside Watford. Overall, the game has made some significant improvements in licensing contracts this year.
