Flash Party’s Spring Open 2023 concludes with Lilybunn as the ultimate winner

A few weeks ago, XD Games announced the first-ever major tournament for their mobile and PC fighting games, Flash Party. Titled the Spring Open, it was a competition held in North America, with a $10,000 prize pool. Out of the 512 participants, it was Lilybunn who took home the grand prize.

Flash Party’s Spring Open followed a 1v1 double elimination format, which eventually boiled down to Lilybunn and MJ. The finale started off in a pretty one-sided fashion which Lilybunnn winning two rounds right off the bat. But MJ didn’t give up either and went on to win two as well, equalising the score to 2-2.

Unfortunately, those efforts weren’t enough for Mj to cross the line as Lilybunn’s Chilli took her to victory in quite a tense fifth and final round. The Spring Open tournament had quite the climatic end and you can catch the action in the video embedded below.

Lilybunn was awarded $5,000 for winning the contest, but that’s not even the main reward. For winning Flash Party’s first such tournament, Lilybunn is being immortalized into the game as a uniquely customized character, which will be seen soon. The action didn’t stop there, though. Viewers were also in for a treat during the loser’s final between Mj and Jmafia, which ended last minute with a sudden-death skirmish.

In addition to all the fighting action fans got to witness, a lot of rewards were up for grabs. The livestream was dotted with loads of easter egg codes, which could have been redeemed for freebies like an easter egg Hero Banner, Aura Chests, Lucky Coins, and Sticker Fragments. If you’d like to see a recap of the whole tournament, that’s available on VGBootCamp’s Twitch’s page too. The rewards can still be claimed.

Flash Party is currently in its ninth season, Wheel of Destiny. Download the game now for free by clicking on either link below.
