Five exciting game announcements from the Behaviour Beyond showcase

For over half a decade, Behaviour Interactive has been known as the Dead By Daylight studio. Despite, you know, being in business for 30 years now! That’s understandable, given how monstrously successful its asymmetrical horror title is as of late — though the Montreal-based developer is branching out in a big way.

On Wednesday, Behaviour Interactive made several massive announcements during the Beyond livestream. What set this apart from previous showcases from the studio is it wasn’t solely focused on Dead By Daylight. Sure, there was some release information for a particular steamy spinoff and DLC teases galore, but Behaviour Interactive revealed several all-new games too.

Enough small talk, though. Let’s check out everything announced during the most recent installment of Behaviour Beyond.

The Dead By Daylight dating sim gets a release date

Hooked on You: A Dead by Daylight Dating Sim is out now. As in, it’s available on PC via Steam starting today! At long last, fans can turn the tables by pursuing iconic killers like Trapper, Huntress, Spirit, and Wraith to find out what really makes them tick. Think Love Island, but with an entire cast made up of literal serial killers. Thanks to a launch trailer, we know there are many cutesy side activities like spinning the bottle — so pucker up to smooch some luscious monster lips.

Project S footage teases high fantasy puzzle solving

Out of everything shown off today, nothing gave off the work-in-progress vibe quite like Project S. Behaviour Interactive is actually co-developing this one alongside Lunarch Studios, best known for titles like Prismata. The reveal trailer shows a vast, whimsical fantasy world rife with intricate sliding-block word puzzles. There’ll be a robust multiplayer component, though the developers insist that Project S isn’t an MMORPG or anything like that.

Flippin Misfits brings intergalactic PvP mayhem

Anyone keen on high-flying melee brawls should keep an eye out for Flippin Misfits. This four-player competitive title is about low gravity combat in outer space, where the playing field shifts constantly — a flip in perspective, if you will. The announcement trailer is full of cartoony visuals, so a pretty significant departure from Behaviour Interactive’s blood-caked golden child. Flippin Misfits is coming out sometime this September too for PC, so it won’t be long before we can try it.

Meet Your Maker invites players to build and destroy

The biggest reveal was unquestionably Meet Your Maker. It’s some sort of first-person asynchronous multiplayer affair set in the post-apocalypse, where you can build an elaborate death trap fortress or raid another player’s serpentine creation for resources. Think of Mario Maker, but from hell. Going on the offensive means putting together the right combination of melee tactics and flashy projectile weapons — and you can also team up with others in co-op while raiding. Let’s hope that cross-platform platform play is an option since Meet Your Maker will launch for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and PC.

Behaviour Interactive’s legendary creativity shines with Meet Your Maker, mainly because we can’t think of another game that does the premise justice. There is no release date yet, but closed playtest signups will be available for anyone eager to try it early.

Dead By Daylight’s second Resident Evil Chapter is official

It wouldn’t be a stream from Behaviour Interactive without some thrilling Dead By Daylight content capping everything off, and thankfully — it turns out Project W was real all along. That’s right: there’s going to be another Resident Evil DLC chapter!

Fan-favorite characters like Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers will take up the survivor mantle, while Albert Wesker is the newest killer. It turns out those leaks from earlier this week were mostly accurate. Aside from perk details, since the development team is still working on those.

There’s a ludicrous amount of Resident Evil characters, and narrowing down the list of prospects wasn’t easy. Dead by Daylight director Mathieu Cote claims that Wesker has been on the shortlist from the get-go.

“We worked really hard with to figure out exactly what they thought would be the best characters to bring in, and Wesker is a classic,” Cote tells GLHF. “He was almost a shoo-in for us. If we can, we always try to go for legends rather than the new hotness.”

Damn, Lady Dimitrescu got put on blast.

We’ll learn more about the second Resident Evil chapter when it inevitably hits the Dead By Daylight Public Test Build (PTB) realm.
