All of these characters create hundreds of ways to form a team, with some being powerful and some not as powerful. Making sure your team is the strongest it can be in battle could save a character from dying in a run. Not even the strongest warriors can push past areas only by themselves. In Fire Emblem: Engage, the engage mechanic was introduced. Teaming up with a character from the past, a more powerful attack is unleashed on enemies with the combined power. This creates new possibilities for strategies and mechanics.

Who Is Panette?

Panette is a royal knight whose origins lie in Solm. She’s the retainer to Timerra. She’s first seen in Chapter 13: Heroes of the Oasis and joins the team in that chapter. She’s Pandreo’s little sister and ran away from her home. She comes off as fair and polite despite her odd interests, hiding her wild past that can only be seen in the heat of battle.

Base Build & Stat Growth

Panette lies in the class of Berserker. She can land critical hit bonuses, starts with an axe, and comes in with a big strength stat. She lies in the backup class, meaning she won’t be doing anything in front of the battle. Most useful from a distance, her large strength and skill make her a good character to fall back on if anything happens.

Panette’s best-rising stat is her HP and her strength. This helps her smash through the surrounding enemies all while being able to handle some of the tough hits and support her team members. Due to being a backup, the strength stat is important to keep track of. She’s best with a high strength to better support her teammates. It’s best to keep tabs on all of her stats as a whole to give a balanced backup to the team, yet not aim to make all the stats the same. The Berserker class will keep her stats within her class, which means elevated strength and lower magic.

Good Classes For Panette

Panette in her Berserker Class Outfit in Fire Emblem: Engage

Sliding into her main class, the Berserker class is what she will mainly be fitted to. With her high criticals, axe-wielding, and heightened strength. Her speed is high enough to slice through enemies twice, she can pack a heavy punch.

Recommended Emblems for Berserker Panette:

  • Marth provides a safe way for Panette to fight. With a lower chance to get hit, Panette can land double hits and criticals and be able to make it out mostly scratch free. He also provides unyielding, which is, if she finds herself with low health, Panette will continue to live on using the ability.
  • Using Lyn as the emblem allows for extremely high speed. Alacrity making it, so she can attack before her opponents do. Speedtaker is as the name implies, Panette gaining speed as the fight goes on. This and her other ability can for sure make her the fastest on the team.
  • Ike can give her the attack power to crush anyone around her. Without criticals, enemies around her will still be inflicted heavily.
  • Leif makes sure that if Panette is weakened, she can attack first. This will help her get through an enemy if she’s near death.

Panette makes a buff Berserker to any team, but the weapon she has in hand is also important. The Killer Axe heightens the chance of criticals. The Brave quadruples her strength, making it easy to sweep through enemies. The Silver Greataxe can help move enemies out of place and is a solid choice for the fight. The Hammer can knock through armored enemies, making those in armor easy to break through without worry of having to fight them for much longer and risk-taking more damage. The Fragarach is a wonderful choice, but it’s only obtained later in the game.

Panette in the Wolf Knight Class in Fire Emblem: Engage

The Wolf Knight option is also available for Panette to slide into. Giving her greater speed, and the chance to get more critical hits helps a lot.

Lyn would be the best emblem to use for the Wolf Knight class and Panette, as her heightened speed is extremely useful in the Wolf Knight role. Other emblems will also give nice upgrades, yet can’t be utilized as much as Lyn’s.

The Killer Axe and Hammer will also suit Panette, even in a Wolf Knight. Yet weapons like the Silver Dagger and Peshkatz will also work. Peshkatz is a dagger, in which more close combat is used. Keep this in mind if equipping the Peshkatz with Panette or any Wolf Knight.

Panette in the Hero Class in Fire Emblem: Engage

The Hero is a role Panette can also fit into. This gives her better Dexterity, Speed, and Defense. Being faster in combat is always a plus for tricky situations.

Lyn is yet another good option for the Hero role. Having good speed is always a plus. Marth will make her more evasive and Eirika will allow smashing through enemies with high defense. Both of these can be used in good ways with both Panette’s abilities and the Hero role in mind. Roy will also work, just be wary of the -20 Avoidance gained when using Axe Power.

Using the Hand Axe is a good way to have a ranged fight with Panette. The Brave Sword is something Panette wouldn’t hurt from having as well, her strength stat being raised at such a rate that it would work out for her.

Panette in the Warrior Class in Fire Emblem: Engage

With a role like Berserker, the Warrior class can also be useful. A better Dexterity, Speed, and Defense stat is to come with this, along with the use of bows. This can help to get rid of any flying enemies on the battlegrounds. For what she loses in that high strength she has as Berserker, she makes up for the other boosts in the Warrior role.

Using Marth helps gain Avoidance, which can be useful when getting through enemies. Along with that, Lyn, as usual, gives more speed in battle. Lucina will give Panette Dexterity, allowing her to hit more criticals on opposing enemies.

The silver axe is always a solid choice, yet being a warrior also opens up the ability to use certain bows. This can come in handy with Panette being a speedy warrior. The Killer Axe for Panette is always a good choice for her to yield in a majority of classes that she can have it.

To get Panette to a higher level, giving her gifts she likes will be of the utmost appreciation from her. It will raise her stats, and make her stronger. Only her favorite items will give the biggest boost.

Panette’s Favorite Items:

  • Sharp Chisel
  • Butterfly Net
  • Utility Knife
  • Fancy Dagger
  • Antler Earrings
  • Spicy Seasonings
  • Field Guide
  • Spooky Scroll
  • Spirit Gem

Panette will not like the Cute Apron, Chrysanthemum, Bear Carving, or the Large Plate items. She does enjoy cooking various things despite not being the best at it, so some cooking items like spicy seasonings will work for her.
