In the words of the great Professor Oak, “Keep your eyes on your Pokémon’s HP. It will faint if the HP drops to 0.” The stakes are a bit higher in Fire Emblem games compared to Pokémon, as your units will end up dead rather than simply fainted (unless you’re playing casual mode), but the concept is the same. Nevertheless, your units are guaranteed to take damage at some point, so you’ll need to have a plan to get that rapidly decreasing bar back up to full.
Vulneraries will do the job just fine, but when the going gets tough, you’ll need a healer to magic away the pain. Joining in Chapter 2 of Fire Emblem: Engage, Framme is a uniquely skilled healer with plenty of potential for growth. The healers in Elyos are far more resilient than their brethren in previous titles, but a strategy is still important to keep them from suffering the same fate they save their allies from. Here are the best builds, classes, and Emblem partners for Framme.
Growth Rates
Framme sports a well-balanced stat line, opening her up for plenty of creativity when it comes to builds. The highlight of her growths is definitely her 55% Speed, tied for the highest in the game with Chloe, Lapis, and Fogado. With correct nurturing of this important stat, Framme can become an incredibly powerful Avoid tank, with the option to focus on physical damage, magic damage, healing, or any combination of the three. Unfortunately, regardless of the upsides, Framme sports one crippling weakness.
She joins your party with an abysmal build stat of 3 and is one of the few characters in the game with absolutely no build growth whatsoever. This means that unless you reclass her into something that provides build growths, she will be stuck with a speed penalty on nearly every weapon in the game. This penalty is far from a death sentence, as her phenomenal speed can still shine through the penalty, but it does mean that extra care and attention are needed for her level-ups.

Best Classes
As mentioned before, Framme’s versatile stat line means she has plenty of options for build paths. Some of the better options she can reclass into are Martial Master, Wolf Knight, and Griffin Knight. Martial Master is the upgraded version of her base class, which allows her to utilize tomes alongside her usual arts and staves. While its growth rates don’t do much in supporting the weaker parts of Framme’s gameplay, it can still function quite well and maintains the chain guard ability.
Wolf Knight is the all-out attacker route for Framme, focusing on Speed, Dexterity, and Strength. This class allows Framme to use a hit-and-run play style and is worth considering if you already have plenty of magic damage on your team. Framme can also make excellent use of the Griffin Knight class, which gives her nice growths in all offensive stats, letting her truly shine as a mixed attacking Avoid tank. This class also maintains her access to staves, providing excellent utility for a frontline attacker. Finally, if you have the ability, let Framme spend a few levels as a General or Berserker in an attempt to fish for a few Build points.
Best Weapons
As mentioned several times, Framme’s biggest weakness is her depressingly low Build. This makes weapon choices for her extremely difficult, especially when moving away from Arts. A Martial Master build will be able to use lighter Tomes and Arts, and will not suffer too badly from the penalties, while a Wolf Knight can utilize daggers to great effect. If you decide to go for a Griffin Knight build, you will just need to accept the Speed penalties and go with what you have access to. A Lance-wielding Griffin is likely the best option, as you’ll have access to Javelins and Flame Lances for mixed damage and mixed range.
Best Emblem Rings
Due to Framme’s versatility, she can make use of plenty of Rings, so here are some powerful options. Sigurd is the ultimate hit-and-run ring, with his insane movement. Celica can support a Martial Master build quite well while providing some needed mobility. Lyn works well for a Wolf Knight or Griffin Knight, allowing you to avoid counterattacks and stack even more speed. Leif can provide a nice boost to Build, giving Framme some much-needed weapon variety. Finally, Micaiah is an excellent option for all builds, providing utility and team support.
Best Skills
Framme’s choice of skills will heavily depend on the build route you choose to take, here are some notably powerful options. Canter allows for excellent mobility even when not using the Sigurd ring, allowing for amazing repositioning ability. Both of Lyn’s inheritable skills are powerful as always on speedy units. Momentum allows for some extra damage, especially for high-mobility classes, and Build+ can shore up the oft-mentioned stat.
