Gain the Final Fantasy 14 expansion Stormblood for free on Playstation and PC for limited time only.
Final Fantasy 14’s Expansion Stormblood Free for a Limited Time Only on PS & PC
Players can pick the expansion for Final Fantasy XVI Stormblood now for free on Playstation 4, Playstation 5 and PC but for a limited time only. The expansion is the second in the series, which joins the already free trial which includes A Realm Reborn and the first expansion Heavensward. The base version of FF14 has a level cap of 60. Those who decided to venture further into the long-running MMORPG will head into Stormblood, Shadowbringer and Endwalker, raising the level cap 10 levels for each expansion, with the current level cap at 90.
It looks like in order to gain the expansion players will need to have purchased the Starter Edition which is available for $19.99. This includes the base game, ARR and Heavensward as well as a 30-day subscription. Once claimed on your chosen platform it will be yours to keep.
Stormblood Expansion for Free (FFXIV Starter Edition Required)

Free Login Campaign
Players can take advantage of the Free Login Campaign, which grants players access to the game for free. You will need to have previously purchased or registered for Final Fantasy 14 and have an inactive account for at least 30 days. So this means no active subscription. This is to entice returning players to come back and join in. This can be accessed from March 27th 1:00 AM PDT to May 8th 7:59 AM PDT.
The next update for the game version 7.0 will raise the level cap by a further 10 levels, but what happens after this still remains a bit of a mystery. What we do know is that the producer Yoshi-P has previously discussed changing the player progression system.
